All that's left after tonight's results show is the runner up and our next.. American Idol!  Who will go home tonight?  Next week the winner will be crowned.
 
The top 3 sing.. Ain't No Stopping Us Now..  Applauding.. great job! 
 
56 million votes were registered!  Amazing. 

I already like Syesha  much better than Fantasia..
 
The three stand backstage... Ryan calls David Archuleta out.  Syesha joins Ryan onstage.  Last, but not least.. David Cook revisits his Idol journey.  Who will go home tonight??   Results.. live... coming up.. 
 
This is intense.  The three hold hands onstage.  They dim the lights..  America has decided.. that the two people.. going head to head in the finale are.. David A ... and...  David Cook... Syesha Mercado is going home.. but not a loser... She has a great career ahead of her. 
 
So, what do you think?  hmmm just noticed that Syesha's song was lip synced!  She was smiling while the song continued on.. weird.  Maybe they're on a time delay..

Well Daisy, I didn't see it but I sure am glad of the outcome. Syesha does have a career ahead of her. Now alls we have to do is dial our fingers off or the smart thing would be to keep hitting the redial button next week. LOL Missed you on Glenn's blog today.

I was listening more than watching tonight.

All will do great if they want to.

All the one's voted off will do better really than the winner as they can pick whom they want to work with. Where as the winner has to do it Clive's way for a while anyway.

Fantasia I hate when she scream's that high note. Golly Gosh. But I did like her.

I noticed that she was smiling while holding that last note, but I can hardly believe it would have been lip synced. IDK.

I will have to go back and watch Fantasia sing, because my husband said the same thing. That Simon had a weird look on his face. I didn't watch/listen to Fantasia at all. She was never one of my favorites.

I really think David Cook has it in the bag. He is just sooo much better than Archuleta. GO COOK!!!!!!!!

I hated Fantasia! Always did. All she does is scream. Syeshia is WAY better than she ever was!

Wooo Hooo cant wait to buy tickets to see Fantasia perform that LIVE!!! (not) That was awful...and in my blog you can see that the look on Simons face was just PRICELESS!

I also saw Syeshia hold that note with the big pretty smile on her face.

David Cook has this one in the bag. Good for him!

I just had to go back and watch Fantasia to see what you meant with Simon. I fast forwarded through it last night. I saw jaw dropping disbelief on Simon's face. lol Paula had that.. didn't she look lovely, face on. Randy looked pleased.

Off to piano lessons for me..

Simon Cowell may have made the performance even more memorable. During the song, cameras panned over to the judges' table where Simon's mouth hung agape from seeming disbelief.

Online communities are abuzz the morning after. "That was a hot mess. Tina Turner? Please! Tina could dance and sing!" Nope said on Reuters. Ann posted on Reuters, "I could not understand a word she was saying….even my closed caption couldn’t pick up the words."

Knew it would come down to the 2 Davids...no real suprise there. But so proud of Syesha she is a star! I love her voice and her stage presence (ok...how many times over the last yr have I said that???? lol)

OK...Fantasia and Syesha should not even be SAID in the same breath! Fantasia was dreadful. Simons face spoke volumes and I coulndnt agree more.

I gotta say I like David A. better after last night ...with the whole home thing and all. He had been getting on my nerves. But last night reminded me how much I liked him at the beg. starting with tryouts!

I still want David C. to win....but yeah they all 3 have great careers ahead! I dont know about that last note thing with Syesha...my hubby said the same thing (about her lip synching it)....I would be so suprised if they did that....that is so not like Amer. Idol...

Oh and ONE more thing....lol....I thought that was really interesting about David C's brother Andrew and all. Wonder if there is any resentment there...I didnt think there looked like any whatsoever....but my hubby got me wondering about that....

I was wondering about Andrew and possible resentment, too, Kelly.. but Ryan sealed the deal by telling David he should give his brother half.

I did fast forward past Fantasia last night.. I don't call that entertainment.. she screams. I had to go back and watch to see what I missed..

I don't like driving and I'm always asking my hubby to chauffeur me around ...he calls me Miss Daisy. Daisies are my favorite flowers, too.
