My daughter-in-law nominated me and I was chosen one of hundred breast cancer survivors to form a human pink ribbon during half time at the Rams game on September 28th! My husband and I went to the Edward Jones Dome for dinner and a practice. I met Will Weatherspoon..#51. What a nice guy!
I will be in the center of the ribbon. How cool is that?

And the winner is...
WOW.. 97.5 million votes came in! Incredible. One David received 56%.. the other David 44%. So, it wasn't a runaway.
David Cook is singing.. like an American Idol.. now there's David Archuleta. They don't sound bad as a duet. (looking to see if Randi is holding up a Have a Good Day sign - no sign of her) Applauding... great song!
Guru Pitka (The Love Guru) playing.. Smoke On the Water.. (am I having a flashback or something) Have fun...relax.. no pressure is his advice.. lol Now he has a prediction for Mr Seafoam. The winner's name will be David.. duh. He flies offstage without his "ride". Ryan almost has an incident on it.
Seal joins our '08 female Idol, Syesha.
Both hopefuls get a Ford Escape Hybrid... nice prize.
Top 6 sing Summer of '69. The Davids sing We're in Heaven. Bryan Adams takes the stage and is backed by the top 6 guys. They all sing.. I Need Somebody.. There's Bo Bice... nice.. (wondering what I'd do on Tues and Weds now?) :)
Disney has an American Idol experience... perfect gig for David A... how appropriate!
David Cook sings with Z Z Top, now. (he needed to grow his beard a little longer... heh)
Gawd.. Mikalah again.. (sorry) Sad to see her represent DC. But, they didn't ask me... (shrug?)
That looks like David Cook in his skivvies doing a Guitar Hero commercial. Can't fast forward so I'm stuck watching all the commercials... pure torture.
It's the Jonas Brothers. They left the girls in the audience speechless.. I thought only the Eurythmics walked on broken glass.
Isn't the Idol search always fun to watch... rofl.. sorry.. someone shoulda told these people they couldn't sing. Catchy tune.. Renaldo.. I Am Your Brother. A marching band is trying to drown him out... good idea! Paula and Randy join in.. now I see why they both wore red.. I almost welcome this commerical.. :)
Apologize by One Republic. This reminds me of how out of touch I am with current music. David A joins in. He could do this. (and I thought he was only Disney bound) I'd quote Randy here and say he's MOLTEN HOT. Nice..
Season Six Idol, Jordin Sparks sings.. One Step at a Time (I saw Blake Lewis in the audience, too.)
Next out is Carrie Underwood. What a success she's become. I knew she would win it. Looks, voice, stage presence = American Idol. The title hasn't held her back. And.. she remembers where she got her start. Refreshing, huh?
lol Now David A is doing the Guitar Hero commercial. I'm actually amused by the commercials. Cute..
Here are the Top 12 again. The gals sing.. I Gotta Have Faith.. (probably leading up to George Michaels presence... ) Waiting for his appearance..we all know it's coming at this point.. The guys sing.. Father Figure ... Now, they all sing Freedom.. what will George sing.. any minute now.. here he is..singing.. Praying For Time... nice emotion-filled song. Great song!
After the break... a new American Idol. A tense moment! I'm tense even..
The winner by 12 million votes... is. David Cook, our new American Idol! He is very emotional now...so am I.
His family joins him onstage. He sings his triumphant...Time of My Life ..
Thank you for an entertaining season. See you all for AI '09, God willing.

I thought I had the wrong station on... yikes... ready to rumble? The Davids don't look so evenly matched.. physically, at least. I'll scan the audience for our own Randi Naughton. Ryan calls them Big David (25) and Little David (17). Two men with one name and one desire. They go head to head for three rounds. The Davids take the stage..
David Archuleta won the coin toss and decided to go second. David Cook opens the show.. Clive Davis chose.. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For..for Cook.. He chose Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.. for Archuleta..
Song one for David Cook. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. His energy level feels low so far but he's doing a great job with the song. Randy said it's a great way to start off the competition. Hot scoop at the end. Paula said you might not have found what you're looking for but we found David Cook. Simon said he looked very tense, emotional. He thought it was phenomenal.
David Archuleta -Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me - This song suits his voice. He's keeping his eyes open. Very nice. Better than Cook's first song. Randy said it doesn't matter what happens.. This is one of the best performances of the whole season.. Flawless and molten hot. Paula has chills up and down her arms. Simon said tonight's performance is the best he's done so far. (it was exceptional) Round one goes to Archuleta he said. I agree. It was spot on.
2nd - David Cook - new song - contestant choice - (I'm tired of the boxing reference) Dream Big - I can see this song on his CD. His lack of energy is still gnawing at me. Randy said the song was just ok for him. But he was singing his face off. Paula said a song in your heart and a guitar in your hand.. You can take a song that we don't know and fall in love with it. Simon said you made the most of what you had. This is supposed to be a winning song, this didn't seem like a winning moment.
David Archuleta - In This Moment - This song really showcases David's vocal range. Perfection. Randy said he wasn't crazy about the song, but was another hot performance. Paula said it was another heartfelt performance. Simon said he loved the egotistical lyric. You definitely chose the better song. Round 2 goes to David Archuleta. (this could be the kiss of death coming from Simon's lips) One song left... who's gonna be the next American Idol..
Contestant's choice now..
David Cook - The World I Know - I like the arrangement but I thought David would give it his all rocking out. He's very emotional now. Randy said you're showing the sensitive side of David Cook.. very nice job. Paula said you're standing in your truth? She stands and applauds him. Simon said you are one of the nicest, more sincere contestants that we had. But, it was completely and utterly the wrong song choice for you.
David Archuleta - Imagine - (he already sang this this season.. even though he did a great job.. wishing he would have chosen something different.) Loved the arrangement. He sang it with great sensitivity. Randy says he's the best singer of season 7. Paula said he left her speechless. He was stunning tonight. Simon said this show is about finding a star. In his opinion, David A came out to win and what they witnessed is a knockout.
Here's the thing... If we have to go by tonight's performances.. David A would have it, IMO. If I would judge on the season as a whole, I would chose David C. But, it's not up to me.
Who will be crowned our Season 7 American Idol tomorrow night? We ALL know David will win it. Which one do you think it will be?

All that's left after tonight's results show is the runner up and our next.. American Idol! Who will go home tonight? Next week the winner will be crowned.
The top 3 sing.. Ain't No Stopping Us Now.. Applauding.. great job!
56 million votes were registered! Amazing.
I already like Syesha much better than Fantasia..
The three stand backstage... Ryan calls David Archuleta out. Syesha joins Ryan onstage. Last, but not least.. David Cook revisits his Idol journey. Who will go home tonight?? Results.. live... coming up..
This is intense. The three hold hands onstage. They dim the lights.. America has decided.. that the two people.. going head to head in the finale are.. David A ... and... David Cook... Syesha Mercado is going home.. but not a loser... She has a great career ahead of her.
So, what do you think? hmmm just noticed that Syesha's song was lip synced! She was smiling while the song continued on.. weird. Maybe they're on a time delay..
See you all Tuesday...

There are only three left now. I will look at them as I'd never seen them b4. Three contestants out to win it! As Ryan says.. a pivotal moment.
First we'll hear songs that the judges chose for them.
Paula's choice for David Archuleta .. And So it Goes.. This song does showcase David's voice. Randy said Paula chose a dope song for you. You are in the zone.. You're in it to win it, baby. Paula said it was a pure and stunning performance. Simon said it was very good... no surprises. Predictable. Good.
Randy chose If I Ain't Got You for Syesha Mercado. Great choice for Syesha. Well done! She did the song justice. I'm sure Alicia would agree. Randy said he thought that would work really well for you. He's happy that she's peaking at the right time. Paula is very proud that she's the last lady standing there. And she had to add that she looks stunning. Simon said she sang that really well. She didn't change enough notes from the original. He also said she looked gorgeous.. (I agree... love the dress)
Simon chose.. First Time Ever I Saw Your Face for David Cook.. (it IS a tough song for a guy to sing.. by Roberta Flack) He's singing it like a sensitive, touching ballad. Wow.. he pulled it off.. somehow. Randy said you could sing anything.. loved the high note. He wanted him to rock. Paula said it's about YOU. He's now her second favorite person that sings it? Simon said it might be a little bit biased but he thought it was one of his best performances to date. This is what makes you brilliant. Round one goes to Cook and Cowell... lol
Next is contestant choices. Finally, something THEY chose to sing.
David Archuleta chose With You.. I like this song... It's nice to finally see David seeing something young. The girls are all over it.. This could bring him in some votes! Better than the first song. Randy said he applauds the fact that he's singing something new and young but he didn't buy the choice. Paula said it fits perfect in the tone of his voice. Great job. Simon said it was a little bit like a Chihuahua trying to be a tiger. It's not really you. (I disagreed, I thought it was good for him)
Syesha Mercado chose Fever. Not liking this one as much as the first. Will Simon say Cabaret? Randy said very interesting song choice sung amazingly well. Paula said you look lovely tonight. She was surprised at the song choice. (I was. too) Simon said you will probably regret that decision tomorrow... Yup.. he did it... called it a lame Cabaret performance. (I'm worried when I think like him)
David Cook's choice is Dare You to Move? Welcome to David's world. It's marketable.. but not for me. Randy said great song choice. Performance wise.. not your best.. a little pitchy. Paula said it felt like he just got to the beginning when you hit the end of the song and she wanted more. Simon said it's not the best melodic song in the world. They all had an ok middle round with one more round to go.
Now songs the producers chose.
Longer for David Archuleta. I wish they hadn't chosen this one for him. It's a yawner. The producers didn't help him any. A pure ending.. nice.. but still yawn. Randy said you could sing the phone book. Another hot one from you. Paula called it.. lovely. Simon said he thinks he sang the song very well. He said the song and lyrics were gooey. This is something you'd chose for a 90 yr old and you're 17. (remember the producers did this to him)
The producers chose Hit Me Up for Syesha Mercado. This song showcases her voice and energy. Randy said he could see her doing a song like that... Rhianna esk... Paula said you did the song very well. It's not the type of song that defines her.. I'm shocked.. Paula said she doesn't know if it's good enough to get her into the finals!.. WOW that's not like Paula at all... Simon said it's better than the second song, for sure. He said that song is a little forgettable.
The producers chose I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing for David Cook. This song suits David. Randy said it was ok for him. Very predictable. Paula said...see ya in the finals. Simon said David Cook wins the night. (Is that a kiss of death?) Ok..well to me it looks like the 2 Davids will be with us for the finals. It won't matter for me who goes home. It's not like any of them are not worthy to stick around.
Somebody has to go. Who do you think will leave?
See you tomorrow night!

Nearly 51 million votes came in... WOW... The top three were all within one million votes.
Did I just see Judge Judy in the audience? lol Wondering if Randy, Paula and Simon need her assistance? Now, it's commercial time.
Back with the recap.. Anxiously waiting for the results.
Ryan will fill the sofa with the top 3. One of the David's .. Archuleta.. joins Ryan onstage. Ryan sends him to the comfortable couch.
Who joins David A? Ryan just called for David Cook. He joins the other David on the sofa. Who woulda guessed? heh He calls Syesha and Jason out onstage.. One of them is leaving. After the vote, the person that leaves.. after the break.. of course. C'mon.. we all know, right?
Ah.. the Ford commercial. They can scrap this one. I don't like it. Sorry Ford people. It's not "them".
Bo Bice is a guest tonight, Carrie Underwood's season 4's runner up. Second place doesn't do too poorly. He looked good. He and his wife are expecting their second child. He gave good advice to the contestants. He's still rockin.. naturally.
Results coming up. Jason and Syesha are waiting for the news. Jason is owning up to his screw ups. America has voted and decided that Syesha.. is in the top three.. Whew.. It was a good run for you, Jason...He knew it was time. He's cool with it. Jason Castro sings.. he's gonna shot the sheriff one more time.
We have 2 David's and Syesha. Nice trio.. It will be tough next week to send ANYONE home..
See you all Tuesday night!

Tonight our Idol hopefuls sing from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Ryan said 3 of the contestants have already been #1 in the votes.. Do we know who the one that wasn't # 1 was? Yeah, I think we do.
Each contestant will sing two songs and the judges will critique after each song... whew.. This format works for me.
David Cook is up first singing.. Hungry Like a Wolf. An easy night for David. This is his comfort zone. He's good! Randy said it was an ok choice. Just OK for you, he said. Paula said his Hungry Like a Wolf has left her with a big appetite. Simon said it was good. A little bit copy cat. Is it good enough to get you through to next week? Probably, yes. More from David later.
Syesha Mercado - Proud Mary - Off to a good start.. waiting for her to step it up. There she goes.. she's looking like a seasoned performer. Randy said what a difference a couple of weeks makes. In the zone. Showing the heat...very nice. Paula said you look like a star. Magic happens. Simon said he's sorry to put a slight damper on it. A bad, shrieky impersonation of Tina Turner.
Jason Castro - I Shot the Sheriff - Jason goes reggae/rock with it. I find myself daydreaming and wondering what Brooke will try to sing.. lol I had a Paula moment.. yeah, I know she's gone. I didn't like it... Randy said it was a really karaoke Bob Marley.. nothing special. That just wasn't good for him. Paula said she never saw him perform more for the audience. She says he's so real and so genuine. Simon said that was utterly atrocious. Atrocious arrangement. A first round audition massacre.
David Archuleta - Stand By Me - He's a good singer, no doubt about it. I was just expecting something different. Nice ending, too. Randy said at least there's one guy that hits the stage every time he hits the stage, tries to win the whole thing. Hello, this is a competition. This was HOT. Paula said you are way beyond your years. You delivered. You're seasoned already. Simon said you could have whistled the song and it would have sounded better than the last time. In the grand scheme of things.. the best performance so far.
Here's their second songs..
David Cook - Bob O'Reilly - This is David's genre for sure. Cook has "the look". Randy said this is more like the David Cook that he's grow to love. You were great. Paula said she just wants more.. more David Cook. Simon said welcome back, David Cook.
Syesha Mercado - A Change is Gonna Come - This feels more like Broadway than Rock and Roll but she has a great voice. Didn't we all expect some serious rock and roll tonight? Randy said he did not love this one as much as the first one. Felt disconnected. Fell flat. Paula stood and applauded. She just wants to hug her. Beautiful vocals. Paula's crying and so is Syesha. Simon said he has to be fair. He has to agree.. with Paula. Wow, can you feel the stress that these kids have to go through. (I don't like her dress, I know, it's a singing competition) lol Simon's getting after Randy.. you made her cry. Glad it lightened up a bit.
Jason Castro - Mr Tambourine Man - (I love this one.. hope it does it well. OMG he forgot the words... bye bye Jason.. This isn't good. Bad ending to top it off. Randy said Jason's not in the zone tonight. Paula said.. it is what it is. You blow me away? Ok.. Simon said.. Jason, I'd pack your suitcase.
David Archuleta - Love Me Tender - The young girls seem to love it. He's putting the David stamp on it. Nice. You wanna bet he puts out a Christmas CD? I'd buy it. :) Randy said another great performance for you. Hot vocals of the night, right there. Paula said one of her favorite performances. Simon said, David, you didn't beat the competition tonight, you CRUSHED the competition tonight.
Ok.. Let's guess who leaves us tomorrow... His name starts with.. Jason.
They all seemed to play it safe. Who do you think should leave?
See you tomorrow night!

(If Brooke or Jason don't go home tonight, they won't be so fantastic..)
WOW.. over 45 million votes came in last night. Neil Diamond and Natasha Bedingfield are guests tonight.
Who's headed home? Out first is Jason Castro. (ok, he is cute) America voted.. to the sofas.. you're safe. NOW, we KNOW Brooke has to go home tonight!
David Archuleta is joining Ryan onstage now. (they're sure using the term "ZONE" a lot this week) I'd like to see David A. stay. He's safe...good. Backstage we still have Syesha.. Brooke and David C.
Commercial break time ... No fast forwarding tonight..
Next week is a Rock n Roll Hall of Fame show..
Welcome back to the show. (I won't blog.. "So You Think You Can Dance".. I may watch though, they're AMAZING. .. lol except for the contortionist. I'll need some ibuprofen just watching the previews!)
Backstage... out comes David Cook. He looks nervous. He shouldn't.. he's good. (hope they're saving Brooke for last) He is SAFE! YEA.. David Cook.. Now Syesha and Brooke join Ryan onstage.
One is safe... one is going home... drum roll please... Yikes.. Ryan lets them rest on the couch while Natasha and Neil perform... the stress..
Commercial break.. I think I want an IPOD.. (easily influenced here)
After watching Natasha Bedingfield perform, I decided that American Idol is a place where stars are made, not born. Oooooo.. she likes David A. David may need CPR.. lol
Neil Diamond performs after the commercials. A 70's kinda Ford Commercial.. I like it.. Now, Neil sings. His Mother is in the audience. May 6th is his new album release called.. Home Before Dark.
Results... after the commercials... (prying my eyes open with toothpicks)
Syesha and Brooke are joining Ryan onstage again.. America has decided.. the contestant leaving tonight is... BROOKE WHITE... (ok, I feel for her cause she's emotional, but it's TIME ALREADY! Looks do go a long way, huh?
She sings and the Fantastic Four support her.
Did it go the way you thought it would?

The stage looks empty with just 5 contestants left. Neil Diamond mentors tonight. He's sold over 120 million records world wide. He says.. bring those perky contestants in.
They will each sing 2 songs.
Jason Castro's choices are Forever in Blue Jeans and September Morn. I like the tone of his voice singing.. Forever in Blue Jeans. It was the right choice for him. Not bad.
David Cook - I'm Alive and All I Really Need is You - Another good song selection. This one highlights David's style. Nice going, David!
Brooke White - I'm a Believer and I Am I Said. Ok, this is a high energy song.. Let's see if she can pull it off. Nah, she doesn't entertain me at all. I don't like the pitch or her lack of stage presence. Paula's dancing.. (cause she's bored) Just glad it stopped suddenly. I am not a believer, sorry.
David Archuleta - Sweet Caroline and America. David's making it his own but I don't like it. Doesn't do anything for me. I hope his other one is better.
Syesha Mercado - Hello Again and Thank the Lord for the Nighttime. Great song choice, Syesha! I like this better than David Archuleta's choice so far. On pitch.. clear and crisp once again.
Now, I will go back to the beginning and start again. Randy said Round One.. Jason.. just ok, better than last week.. David Cook.. very good.. in the zone, very strong, doing your thing. Brooke.. better than last week.. still a little karaoke.. Archuleta.. the bomb.. Syesha.. nice vocals.. strong. Paula liked Jason's lower register.. OMG.. Paula thought he sang twice.. just say NO. David Cook was fantastic.. she said.. Simon said.. you're all very lucky you've got 2 songs.. Jason forgettable.. David C.. just above avergage.. Brooke a nightmare, David A.. amateurish.. Syesha.. old fashioned. (WOW.. that was rushed.) He wants them to step it up next Round..
Jason Castro - September Morn - Maybe he's never heard this one. He's a little pitchy in spots. (making it his own? nah.. pitchy) Really BAD. Randy said it was just ok.. Definitely not the best. Paula said she thinks he took the same liberty with both songs.. Simon said we don't recognize you at the moment. Both were forgettable.
David Cook - All I Really Need is You - So far, I like David the best tonight. I don't know this song as one of Neil Diamond's so it feels like a David Cook song. It's good. Randy said he's a huge David Cook fan because he rocked the house. Blazing.. Paula said he's the only one who could pull it off.. Looks like she's looking at the next American Idol. Simon thought the first one was ok, the second one was brilliant. Well done.
Brooke White - I Am I Said - She's trying to impersonate Dolly Parton, I think. I still would like her to go home tomorrow. Randy said very vulnerable.. showing all the flaws.. nice job. Paula said it shows her vulnerability. Simon said he REALLY REALLY hated the first song. This is the Brooke we like. It wasn't incredible, but it was a million times better than the first song.
David Archuleta - America - This is weak and a little pitchy right there.. never known him to miss a note.. He's got a great voice but I wouldn't buy this song. Randy said you are definitely in the zone. Paula said this was the absolute perfect song for you. I love you.. I love you, you're brilliant. Simon said that was a smart choice of song. Absolutely the right choice. (I wasn't thrilled with him tonight)
Syesha Mercado - Thank the Lord for the Nighttime - Great stage presence. An entertainer. She remembered the lyrics but forgot her shoes? Nice. Randy said she finally is realizing who you are. In the zone. He likes her in this. Paula said she has a theatrical place and has a softness in her voice. Simon said she is a very good actress/singer. He thinks she may be in trouble tonight. (I don't think so) He didn't think she had a really memorable second song tonight.
I agree with the judges.. it was a weird show tonight. Awkward, at best.. rushed..
So, who's leaving us tomorrow night? I still say Brooke or Jason. I can hope.
See you tomorrow night..

Who heads home tonight? 38 million votes came in.
Ahhh Andrew Lloyd Webber's music is so beautiful. The top six sing, That's All I Ask of You..
I'm watching this live.. I hope I don't fall asleep during the commercials..(yawn) Fun Ford video.. Tainted Love..
Oh good.. only the bottom 2 will be sent to the stools tonight and we all know who they are right?
Jason Castro and Brooke White.
The 2 Davids are asked to join Ryan on stage. Actually, they both were my favorites last night.. After the Nation-wide vote, they are both safe.
Neil Diamond will mentor next week. Sweet Caroline.. duh duh duh.. Wait.. didn't he say he wrote/sang that for the then very young child of the late President Kennedy. If so, the lyrics are very creepy.
Leona Lewis has the vocal range of Mariah Carey.. great discovery for Simon.
Syesha Mercado and Brooke White join Ryan on stage. After the Nation-wide vote... O M G .. BROOKE IS SAFE TONIGHT... NO #*$ WAY! Sorry.. shocked.. Syesha takes the stool.. Disbelief here.. WOW.. So not right.
Who will join Syesha Mercado .. we'll find out ... after the break..
We're back.. Carly and Jason take the stage.. America voted.. Jason is safe.. Another O M G.. So, it's either Syesha or Carly Smithson going home.. WOW. Let it be Carly, then?
Carly is singing now and Syesha will sing her selection from last night next. I guess this is more humane than asking them to sing after they've been voted off. I'm thinking Syesha's already gotten a Broadway offer if she leaves tonight.
Who goes home? (we'll find out, after the break) Carly Smithson was voted off ... whew.. Ryan and Carly were in animated conversation on stage while Syesha was singing. I wonder if they were discussing it.
Well, what do you think? Surprised at all? Irritated.. shocked?
See ya Tuesday night!

The amazing music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. I hope the Idols are up for this! There's a LOT of emotion tied to his music. Genius. (I saw Katharine McPhee sitting behind him in the audience.)
Syesha Mercado is up first tonight. One Rock N Roll Too Many - Sultry and sassy. Good stage presence. I like it. Randy said this may surprise you but tonight, this is your element.. best performance to date right there. You could be a huge Broadway Star. Paula said she wasn't surprised because this is a big part of her love. You brought the house down right at the very beginning. Simon said.. Syesha, that was very sexy. One of your strongest performances so far. Lots of personality.
Jason Castro - Memory - This isn't working for me.. at all. Jason usually sings with emotion. He's pitchy.. BAD and doesn't "get it". This could even send him home.. yikes.. b4 Brooke even unless she's pitiful. Randy said vocally for him it was a little bit of a train wreck. Too big of a song. Paula said everyone's so used to hearing this song by a female balladeer. Sounds like a pop ballad. Simon said it felt to him like the longest 2 minutes of his life. Came over as a young guy forced by his mom and dad to sing a song he didn't want to sing. It's not your style of music. It was a struggle.
Brooke White - Where Do We Go From Here - I'm not liking this. I'm trying not to be biased but .. it's weak. This is torture for me. Lyrically challenged, too. Randy said for him this wasn't great. At least she listened to Andrew Lloyd Webber that you have to believe what you're singing.. Vocally, it was a little tough. Paula said you must never start and stop. You didn't overact. (What's Paula saying.. eyes glazing over) Simon said the trouble is.. it completely threw you... voice straining. This is a tricky one. You'll be very disappointed when you watch this back. (I would highly recommend she doesn't do this.) She's got those.. I'm about to cry eyes again.. gawd..
David Archuleta - Think of Me - (Phantom of the Opera) At first I was thinking of the show tune and how much I love it.. then I really loved David's version. Bravo, David. It could be a hit today! Nice.. very nice... Randy said you put your own personality into it.. dude.. it was the bomb.. This boy's the one to beat. Paula said it was absolutely perfect. Turned it into a pop ballad. Simon said he thought it was pleasant .. one of the weakest performance. (Oh, so wrong, Simon.. it WAS memorable)
Carly Smithson - Superstar - The energy suits Carly. She'll get another week. Randy said he doesn't know if it was her best performance.. but it was definitely good. The outfit was kinda fly. Paula said it too high of a range for her but loved what she did with the chorus. Simon said other than it got a little bit shouty in the middle, it was actually one of his best performances of the night.
David Cook - Music of the Night - Raw, sophisticated passion is what we're looking for. We're off to a good start. David has the sensitivity in his voice. Standing ovation even b4 he finishes the song. He achieved the goals that Andrew was looking for. Not thrilled with the ending.. should have kept it softer. Randy said dude that was an amazing vocal performance.. Molten hot. Paula said this song just proved more and more that you are so well rounded as a performer. It was fantastic. Simon said you made the most of the song.. Too rounded off.
Ok.. here's my bottom 3.. Jason Castro.. Brooke White and Carly Smithson. Running out of three to chose from soon. It's winding down.
I've wanted Brook to leave for so long, that I will have to chose her but it's really a toss up here between her and Jason.
What did you think? Who's going home tomorrow night?

Your votes are in.. who is out? Almost 36 million voted.. Mariah Carey will sing. Elliot Yamin is in the house.
Jason Castro steps onto the stage with Ryan. America voted.. motioned to Ryan's left. Now, David Cook is up.. asked to start a group to Ryan's right. Carly Smithson is on center stage. I'm thinking David Cook's side is safe. She joins Jason.. hmmm. Next out.. Kristy Lee Cook.. Will it be Cook & Cook? Yes, she joins David.. it's Cook & Cook..
Commercial time and Elliot will sing when we return.. Good to see Elliot again.. His dear Mother passed away. Sweet guy he is.
Contestants return to the stage where they were positioned earlier. Syeshia Mercado is up..the lights dim. She joins Jason & Carly.. who knows how this is going.. until now... heh Brooke White appears. I honestly wouldn't want to be on the side where she's standing. She joins David & Kristy Lee.. hmmm David Archuleta waits backstage..
Mariah performs.. Commerical time..
David Archuleta is left.. he's asked to come on out on stage. Which side does he go to? Ryan said.. America voted and David.. you are safe.
Ryan asks David Cook to swap with Syesha .. One group is safe... one is the bottom three. Now it makes more sense to me.
Ryan asks David Archuleta to join the "safe" side... He sat down...on the floor. I hate when they ask a contestant to do this. Both Davids, Carly and Jason are safe.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is the mentor next week. Interesting.
Bottom three are.. Kristy Lee Cook... Brooke White and Syesha Mercado. We all know who's going home, right? Syesha is sent to safety.. whew!
The remaining two are right where they should be. NO WAY... Shocked again! Kristy Lee Cook is sent home. She better than Brooke.. grrrrr.. Torture..
What do you think? Another week of Brooke..
See ya Tuesday!
