Life at Rams Park is never normal.  And now more egg shells to walk on than Easter Sunday.   The building is tight as in uptight.   It happens when you're oh and 2 with 2 clunkers.    On Monday Scott Linehan stepped to the mic and seemed somewhat calmer than he was on Sunday, but it didn't last.   When the topics turned to his message to the team and how concerned he was about his future, you could sense the tension in the room building.     Just stop for a minute and think what that would be like.  I walk into the Fox-2 Sports Office after a bad show and I'm asked "you think you're getting canned?"  I doubt I would be very civil.

But Linehan's demeanor was less telling to me than the Rams Coordinators.  Jim Haslett talked for about 5-7 minutes.   He seemed defeated.   Puzzled by the problems his defense is having and down on the whole Rams operation.  He's been pretty good about letting it be known that he's been dealt some sub-par talent.   So Coach  'Has came and went with very little fanfare.  And very little emotion.

Imbetween was the real show.  Al Saunders.  The Rams Offensive Coordinator.   He wasn't talking to the media.  He was performing.  Jokes.  Wise-cracks. You name it.  Problem is nobody was laughing.   Saunders had the look of a guy that just got here (Hey, it's not my fault!)   Which is somewhat true.   But as my Dad always reminded me "it's all about timing".  Al's timing, much like his offense, was off.

maybe the rams need to fine tune their timing and expose the real jokes...the coaches...and fire them like yesterday...it won't get any better and if it does it'll be against a horrible team with major injuries then we can get that sympathy win...cards are stinking again too losing to the reds...

Time for the coaches to read the biography of Vince Lombardi and even view some footage of him in action.

When I'm not anchoring sports, or heading to Rams Park, or imitating Tony LaRussa, I can be found blogging. This is a whole new world for me. I previously thought a blogger was a bloated jogger.
