When my oldest one was 15 she ran away from home for a week and I was sick but she is a mom now and another on the way so she has come along way from 15. she also is the one that had the cardiac arrest but was saved by 2 male nurses who were at Chucky Cheeses at the right place at the right time till EMS got there. We are very close now after a long rough road. she has a defibb and pacemaker implanted. She has Idiopathic Ventricullar Fibbulation. You can google it. she also had another cardiac arrest 6 months after tha first one and her defibb saved her life.

We really had a hard time though from 14 to 16 and she is 29 now.

My younger daughter will be graduating from SLU in December (Areospace Engineering)

I'm sending this to my sister. There are 5 kids in the house, 2 his, 2 hers, 1 ours. One of his has given my sister such a hard time that she has call me so mad that she would be dropping the f bomb and she doen't use profanity. Her dad doesn't get after like he should. He doesn't want her to hate him. This 10yr will be either pregnant before she 18 and/or will be in trouble with the law.

I am good most the time but boy when I not I get what I call the LOOK...

You do not want the LOOK!

I have been grounded on the couch but so has my dog Willie...

I get grounded on the couch a lot because of Willie...I think it unfair because he gets away with a lot..

But I learned not to say ha ha ha you got in trouble to Willie because if I do I get grounded for it...Mom say it not nice to tease anyone including a dog when someone gets in trouble..

But I will say we do get grounded at lease once a week if not more..

I used to call my oldest daughter my "alien" child - from the day she turned 13 I believe the body snatchers took over! She was not the daughter I raised! We struggled and fought all thru her teenage years, I swear she needed more attention and supervision than she needed at 2. To give you just a small indication - my mom raised 4 girls and never laid a hand on any of us - she slapped this child right across the mouth TWICE! In my home, that was equivalent to making God cuss!
Somehow we made it, and now that same child is a happily married, stay at home mother of 4. She lives in a very small town and loves it. The best thing? She has 3 sons who are now teenagers and 1 beautiful, hard headed, redheaded 5 yr. old daughter that has my daughters personality! AHHHH sweet revenge!!!! (but I am leaving the county when she turns 13)

Margie, I'll have to email you about my sister's rotten kid. She may get mad at me but something's gotta give with this kid, and the family's afraid her other son is gonna go down the same path. I think her main problem is she just let's her kids and her husband run roughshod over her, and instead of trying to correct the problems, just makes excuses. My sister's had a rough way to go and doesn't need this garbage she's fed on a daily basis.

I would love to be able to meet with her, but there is no way I am letting anyone into my house that is falling apart around my ears!

You obviously didnt think through your comment about cities disgracefully curtailing our rights. Why are mayors & aldermen the judge & jury on enacting age & time laws for trick or treating? We already have enough laws. If you give up civil liberties, rights and freedoms for the illusion of security you dont deserve them. We need the goverment out of our lives!!! Weak racial old white people are fueling this bogus law because they are scared of black people. Do the research...I did!

I anchor Fox 2 News in the Morning and yes, I actually do enjoy mornings! I've always gotten up early and find getting off to a great start in the morning is refreshing. After Fox 2, my life quickly turns to my family. My 4 year old son, 2 year old daughter, & newborn baby boy keep me busy running everywhere! I know all you Mom's out there can appreciate that. I have to say, being a Mommy is the greatest job on earth! Did I mention I have the best husband in the world? I'm truly amazed at all he does everyday! Other than family life, my heart is with kids born with the odds against them. I spend a lot of time with charities focusing on children. Thank you for allowing me to "wake-up" with you every morning and I look forward to hearing from you on the blogs. God Bless.
