First off a Happy Mother's Day in advance to all you Moms out there.  I hope you all have a chance to sit back and relax on Sunday and reflect on God's little or perhaps now big blessings in your life.  Okay, with that said, here's the deal, I need to know your favorite Mother's Day gift or if you feel so inclined you can also share your worst gift.  Thursday morning I will share some of your e-mails on air during our stl moms segment.  Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing what has made you smile on Mommy's Day.

I can't really recall Mother's Day gifts. I do know that a day of rest isn't going to happen! Are you kidding? Around here, if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. Mother's Day is just another Sunday in this house.

The images of Mother
********************
4 Year of Age: My Mommy can do anything!
8 Year of Age: My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 Year of Age: My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 Year of Age: Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 Year of Age: Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 Year of Age: That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 Year of Age: Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 Year of Age: Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 Year of Age: Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 Year of Age: Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

I get something from the kid's once in awhile. But I have alway's told them don't worry about me as they have hard enough time raising their kid's to be spending money on me and for something I may not want. I tell them if they get anything for me to just get me a dollar scratch off lottery ticket. If it make's them feel better. I also hate it when they pay a fortune for a card. Dang that upset's me as they could make one and I would enjoy it more. Beside if I want something I buy it. Would never tell my kid's I want them to buy something for me. Sometime's our anniversary is on Mother's day. But again lottery ticket please. But this year I did get ME a new lawn mower for mother's day and anniversary. Not really I would of gotten it anyway rather these day's were coming or not.
I pretty well relax everyday anymore.

Happy Mother's day Mom's and dad's that are raising there kid's being mom and dad also.

This was sent to me from a friend awhile back and I have always love it and wanted to share it with all you as we approach Mother's Day.

A MOTHER

The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked.
And God answered her "Yes, this way is hard, and you will be old before you reach the end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children, she fed them and bathed them, taught them how to tie their shoes and ride a bike, and reminded them to feed the dog and do their homework and brush their teeth. The sun shone on them and the young Mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."
Then the nights came, and the storms and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms and the children said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."
And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary. But at all times she said to the children, a little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed and as they climbed they learned to weather the storms. And with this, she gave them strength to face the world.
Year after year she showed them compassion, understanding, and hopes, but most of all...unconditional love.
And when they reached the top they said, "Mother, we would not have

I got this today from another blogger I think it is really a good one.

Your Mother is always with you

She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume that she wore.
She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not feeling well.
She's your breath in the air on a cold winter's day.
She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep; the colors of a rainbow.
She is Christmas morning.
Your Mother lives inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every teardrop. A mother shows every emotion .......... happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, love, hate, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow... and all the while, hoping and praying you will only know the good feelings in life.
She's the place you came from, your first home, and she's the map you follow with every step you take.
She's your first love; your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, not space...not even death!

This is a verse on a picture that I received from my daughter several years ago on Mom's Day

MOM

Sometimes it's hard for a
mother and daughter
to be friends, because
we see life from opposite
angles and different
directions.
But I hope you know,
MOM,that even when I seem
to be turning you off, even
when it seems I'm just being
stubborn or rebellious,
I still hear what you're saying
and I still listen to you with
Love,
Because I still need you,
although maybe in a different way...
You see, I used to need a
mother more than anything,
but now I need a mother...
and a friend
And I want that friend
to be you.

tears now in my eyes b/c I want my mother to remember me

There is one purpose why I chose the this year Mother's Day gift for mommy. She has always been devoted saying the rosary every night before she would got to bed. So, today and my honey went to the Lady of the Snows and spent about an hour browsing. Finally, we located the Rosary for her. After purchasing the box and rosary we headed over to the Chapel and had the Pastor bless her beads. This is one gift she will be surprised coming from me. HA!

Happy Mommie's Day Ladies!

Please, read between the lines. I am so happy about this gift that there is a funny story about it while we were in Mc Donald's today. It better to be told in person because I would have lots of typos.

Best Mothers Day was when I first became a mother and realized how much my life has changed....

sleepless nights
being awaken by the sounds of coughs
having fun just playing board games
belly laughs until it hurts
realizing it's the small things that count!

I anchor Fox 2 News in the Morning and yes, I actually do enjoy mornings! I've always gotten up early and find getting off to a great start in the morning is refreshing. After Fox 2, my life quickly turns to my family. My 4 year old son, 2 year old daughter, & newborn baby boy keep me busy running everywhere! I know all you Mom's out there can appreciate that. I have to say, being a Mommy is the greatest job on earth! Did I mention I have the best husband in the world? I'm truly amazed at all he does everyday! Other than family life, my heart is with kids born with the odds against them. I spend a lot of time with charities focusing on children. Thank you for allowing me to "wake-up" with you every morning and I look forward to hearing from you on the blogs. God Bless.
