As reporters we do thousands of stories, of those you probably learn something from all of them, then there are those that truly touch you.   Thursday night on FOX 2 News at Nine I hope you can find the time to watch a story of a baby who even before birth was not expected to live.   Annie's journey is one filled with defying the odds, a little girl's unbelievable determination and one that I promise will inspire you.  She touched my life for the first time back in 1999 when she was born.   I will also be talking about Annie on FOX 2 News in the Morning on Friday in our 8am hour.   If you have a chance I hope you can tune in and will feel as inspired as I have been watching this amazing young girl through the years.  Once you've seen the story I would love to hear your comments.

I can't wait to see it Margie. And by the way, I am really glad we got to talk at the Blog party at Bread Co. You are even prettier in person than on TV. You seem equally so on the inside too, where it counts the most. Looking forward to your story tomorrow....

HI!!Kids are my big soft spot too,as well as moms!My biggest motivation as a weightlifter as a matter of fact is to finally give these kids a REAL role model&hero to look up to!Because we all heard the awful stories behind 99.99999999% of our current "role models".Areva Derci[Italian for:Bye!]!

Hey Margie a friend of my brother who played in Fairchild as a matter of fact her name is Connie Fairchild had a baby boy who was suppose to die at birth. He lived for 5 years and was born with no eyes and no offense but channel 5 aired her story about 17 years ago. He isn't alive anymore but it was very sad. He went through a number of surgerys to give him eyes but never worked. I can't remember what it was called that he was born with but what life he had was the best.

What a beautiful story Margie. I have tears streaming down my face. Annie was a true fighter and refused to give up. God decided it was time for her to come home, but during her time here she touched many lives. Very touching.

Margie, I just watched the video and admit I cried! That was a beautiful story Great job! There truly are miracles in this world. Annie was put here for a very special reason. Her parents were very touching as well. Thank you for sharing that story. It was definitely worth being told.

What a strong little girl and wonderful parents. My wife and I watched this story together this morning and both lost it when we heard she lost her hearing and had a cochlear inplant and learned sign language. Our daughter had her cochlear inplant when she was three and also signs. What a strong little girl those parents were blessed with and what angels she was blessed with in her life. This was such a sad, but uplifting story. I want to thank you and her parents for sharing Annie with all of us.

Hello Margie I am Happy to see you do the story about little Annie's CDH. My Daughter Dakota Mae was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation with Left side Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. She had passed away at 33 weeks gestation on May 8, 2006. Dakota was born the next Day at 11:39 am at 3 lbs 13 oz and 18" long. I Miss Her So Much. I wish there was more exposure on this Birth defect known as "CDH" Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. My support group called Cherubs has help me get through a lot. It is just for families with "CDH" Children. I have met alot of wonderful women on this support group. My Heart just broke when I seen this on TV this morning about Precious Annie. I am pregnant now hoping that may baby will not have the same out come. My prayers are with Annie's family. I hope you are doing well too with your pregnancy.

Thank you all for your kind words about Annie and her amazing parents. I also wanted to personally thank our special projects producer Tracie McKinney, who spent countless hours and who poured her heart into this story and allowed me to once again tell Annie's unbelievable story. A big shout out to news editor Greg Gibson who took his time to bring Annie's story to life. I hope you all take time to hug your child today and realize what a true blessing they are.

I anchor Fox 2 News in the Morning and yes, I actually do enjoy mornings! I've always gotten up early and find getting off to a great start in the morning is refreshing. After Fox 2, my life quickly turns to my family. My 4 year old son, 2 year old daughter, & newborn baby boy keep me busy running everywhere! I know all you Mom's out there can appreciate that. I have to say, being a Mommy is the greatest job on earth! Did I mention I have the best husband in the world? I'm truly amazed at all he does everyday! Other than family life, my heart is with kids born with the odds against them. I spend a lot of time with charities focusing on children. Thank you for allowing me to "wake-up" with you every morning and I look forward to hearing from you on the blogs. God Bless.
