I will be on vacation next week for Christmas. During that time I plan to take my 7 year old to see Wicked at the Fox. I've heard it is wonderful. Natalie loves theater. She loves to sing and dance. The Wizard of Oz was one of her favorites. Curious if any of you have seen and what you thought?
A special thanks to a brand new business in St. Louis. Celebrity Chef Kitchen is opening it's first location soon. They generously offered to cater a couple of fundraisers for Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, Inc. I had one of them at my house last weekend. I have a few pictures posted in my photos. We all had a wonderful time and raised money for a cause near and dear to my heart. It is wonderful to see businesses who really connect with the community and the charities who really need the money. I've included a link to their website.

I hope you saw Fox 2 in the morning Thursday. Katharine McPhee who was in concert at Six Flags that night, came on the show for an interview. My 7 year old daughter Natalie is a big fan. She heard about Katharine coming to Fox 2 and wanted to meet her. We arrived at the tv station before her interview. She was very nice when Natalie and her friend Hope asked to meet her in the lobby. She took pictures with us and signed autographs. I'm so happy to see that she is kind in person. You can check out the pics on my blog.
Hard to believe but my youngest Lacey turned 1 yesterday July 17th. I posted some new pictures.

My 7 year old Natalie is out of school for the summer and looking forward to camp. When I grew up, we didn't have a lot of camps to choose from. 4-H camp was my big outing along with church camp. St. Louis has an amazing selection of summer camps for kids. Some of them get pretty expensive though. We are going to try out zoo camp for the first time later this summer. I've heard great things about it. I'd love to hear from some of you about the camps you would recommend.
I can't believe Sanjaya wasn't even in the bottom three on American Idol this week. He even forgot the words to his song. My 6 year old daughter loves American Idol. Gina is her favorite. I think it's the hair. I'm pulling for Melinda. She truly has a magnificent singing talent.

Who is coming to blogapalooza? Details on our website.
Did you see Melinda Doolittle on American Idol tonight? She is outstanding. She simply blows away the competition. I'm pulling for her because she lived in St. Louis for a while. The judges were gushing over her... even Simon. I also like Melinda's personality. She seems so humble and appreciates the fact that she's made it this far on Idol.
I know this has nothing to do with the news but it's a question I thought I would throw out there and see if I get a response. Dave Murray and I often talk about gardening tips on the air and how the weather plays a part. I love to plant flowers and garden in my spare time. I wanted to know what kind of pansies or other flowers to plant at my house this fall. I like mums but don't like planting them in the ground. Pansies look great because they can withstand the winter and give you early spring color before it's time to plant your other summer flowers. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good pansie that has a great color. I'd love to have something a little different yet showy. Thanks in advance!
