Easter is coming up this weekend.  It has been a long time since I've blogged.  I apologize.  I blog everyday on www.stlmoms.com in the forums/evening show topics.  So I've neglected my blogging on this website.  With Easter coming up this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to find out how you will spend Easter Sunday. My family is coming to visit from Kentucky.  I'm very blessed to have my grandparents in good health.  My grandfather is 87 and my grandmother is 84. I will cherish my times with them, my children and other family and friends.  We will go to church on Sunday morning and celebrate the resurrection.

What part of Kentucky are you from?? My son and his family moved to Lawrenceburg for about a year, but got homesick and moved back here. I just loved the area.
Well, dont know what I will be doing on Easter except recuperating from the flood in our basement this week....lots of cleanup and then having to go to work....

Hi Mandy - we will also go to church to celebrate the resurrection. My children and I are also in the Easter play at church tomorrow morning. Then after we will be going to my parents' house in Fenton for celebration with family. We celebrated with my husband's family last Sunday. We try to visit all the family - but it's tough.

Holy Week is a long week for me.

On Holy Thursday night, we have the Mass of the Last Supper followed by silent prayers until Midnight (I stay all night to lock up).

On Good Friday, we have the Mass of the Presanctified.

On Holy Saturday, we have the Easter Vigil (we shall baptize many and welcome into the Catholic Church many more). It should be a rather long Mass!

On Easter Sunday, we have our regular Mass schedule. We should see many people who don't often attend Mass on a regular basis. I shall make it a point to welcome them warmly. I shall then have supper at home with my cat, Max.

Easter means so much more to me now that I am a christian. Before, it was bunnies and colored eggs. Now it's 100% about Jesus and His great sacrifice for us and how majestic He is....even death could not hold him!

My family will be attending sunrise service at 6am, then Sunday school and church at regular time.

I challenge all of you who only attend church a few times a year....to increase your attendance the rest of this year. Jesus' gift to us is throughout the year...so should be our worship to Him.
