Happy Thanksgiving to all. My 7 year old asked me to play a game with her this morning.  She said something she was thankful for and then I did the same thing.  We all stay so busy.  Today is a chance to stop and remember all of the things we have in our lives for which we are thankful.

We do this with my whole family. We usually go around the table of about 18 people and all state what they are thankful for, but this year I came up with another way. We each wrote at least 3 things, one on each paper, and then put them into a bowl. We then took turns reading them. Some people signed their names, some didn't. But either way, everyone felt a little less "funny" telling the truth because they knew that someone else would read it for them.

Here are a few we read:
"I am thankful for...

...the color blue."
...God's grace."
...dead turkeys."
...my brother surviving a MAJOR motorcycle accident this year."
...eating carbs one day a year!"

I am thankful that I am not in the hospital (like I was last Thanksgiving!). I am thankful that I am not homeless anymore!

I am thankful for a healthy, happy, in tact family, good jobs, a place to live, quality of life, good friends, living in a country of freedom and knowing and believing there is a God who has given up a son to save my sole.

Mandy, good good blog! I loved reading everybody's answers....

Besides the obvious (my friends and my family), I am also thankful for that first cup of coffee in the morning, my little toy chihuahua who keeps my feet warm at night, that we have good jobs, that my kids have Christian teachers this year, for my woodstove that heats our home, for some of the precious friends that I have made through Fox2, and for being given the gift of life for at least today!! God is so good....
