Life, or something like it.

To whom do you compare yourself?  If you spend too much time looking at fashion magazines, you could very well feel inadequate.  Most of the models wear dangerously thin bodies and wastefully expensive clothing.  If you spend too much time watching TV sitcoms or soap operas, you might be tempted to think your spouse is not built the way he or she should be.

Look around you.  Look at all the other people just like you.  They are real.  You are real.  Some have more stuff, some have less.  Some have better builds, some have less.  Some smile more, some less.

Don't compare yourself to others, because you can never be them and they can never be you.  Be yourself and love it!

I compare myself to Rosie O'Donnell.
I'm overweight, sometimes too loud, and I like women.

There is a 13 year old girl that is missing from the St. Louis area. Her name is Tyra Meeks. Fox 2 has refused to report on this. Please go to KMOV.com & type in "missing 13 year old girl" for more info.

This is something I need to work on. I don't necessarily compare myself to others but I know I need to get healthier. I lost 50lbs a couple years ago, but I've gained it all back. I feel like crap a lot of the time. My clothes are getting too tight. I hate to exercise. I smoke. I like to eat junk food. Plus I want to get pregnant soon and I KNOW that when I do I'll blow up like a balloon. *sigh*

I'm comfortable with me; far from perfect, but comfortable. I am forever comparing myself to everyone. I need to work on that.

Great blog, mama. I am comfortable with myself, but there's always room for improvement. I'd like to get a complete makeover, for example. LOL

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding.

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Then, later, they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."

So they then decided they'd both walk! Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride . So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey.

The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decide to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal & he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?

If you try to please everyone, you might as well...
Kiss your ass goodbye!

Mama, I too saw some of the drama. Make sure you don't say too much personal to anyone new to you or if something feels funny don't say too much. I've noticed some real odd things. Comments then responses that were very long yet only took a minute to write/type then followed by another comment. I am absolutely sure the game has only begun so just be careful not to get hurt. It will get worse before it gets better. Remember that saying? Best Wishes, Sandy Sullivan
