The Pitchers and Catchers will be reporting to spring training in the next few days. And than spring training will start shortly after that.

I am not looking forward to that.

1. The cardinals have very little pitching(Carpenter) is about it.

2. Outside of Pujols they have nobody. They are so desperate they called in Juan Gonzales, and he won't make the team.

3.Most experts agree they are listed about #23 out of 30 major league baseball teams. as far as power and ability goes.

Maybe it's time to give the team an overhaul.  What does anyone else think?

Rick Ankiel  is having a melt down, and its due to whats been said about this poor guy not just by the New York daily news (which is a tabloid) but by our own media, and has brought the whole team down...

Rick does not handle adversity well, as people that watched him blow up when he was a pitcher know...So why would a St Louis media p/u a story that first off is 4yrs old, and 2nd do it during a run at the pennant?

This whole story has affected the team in a negitive way...Not only the team, but how I personally view the media here....

I think it was very irresponsible reporting...

Jim Edmonds has waived his no trade clause in his contract and ageed to be traded, I heard that and thought," How big of him" He has spent most of the year on the DL, He is owed 8 million next year...Who's going to pickup that bill??? He is old, His skills have diminished...What club would even consider this guy???The Cardinals have locked themselves into some bad deals, This was one....Rolen was another,,If Jocketty, and La Russa leave, GOOD...

Tony Larussa is the manager!! He is not a player...So jumping on him is foolish like the "old saying goes" You can lead a horse to water but you can't  mak'em drink...

He has been a winner everywhere he's been other then Chicago...He is more consistant then Rolen, Edmonds, Wilson, Eckstien, and Albert so far this year...The first 4 in my rant need to go..

Rolen has not played great since his first year here, Edmonds can catch but not hit nor des he have any arm strength,WHICH is also Eckstien's problem Wilson was  just a bad pickup...And Albert is probably struggling because of these other players which are bringing the team down..

Out of the afore players mentioned, Edmonds and Albert ARE THE ONLY 2 WITH LEGITIMENT EXUSES, Jimmy's gettin old his arm and his bat are not what they were..And Alberts got to much pressure on him to perform..

None of this has anything to do with Tony..To be honest if I were Tony I'd get drunk too..I just would'nt drive..

The other day as I was watching the Cards and the Rockies the announcers Dan and Al..

Dan mentioned that Skip Shoemakers favorite  cartoon character was wily  coyote..Which could also be the team mascot since he wins about like the team does..

Then Dan asked al the same question and he said the hulk.....My favorite cartoon is and will always be foghorn leghorn  yep the chicken and the dog..

I am sick and tired of exuses..Rolens hurt!! Edmonds is hurt..HOGWASH.. These players make millions of dollars there little sissy injuries are nothing compared to what I or some of you have had to work thru on our jobs..I own a truck  years ago I had it leased on with a moving company while I was moving this person I had an upright piano fall on my leg being an independent I had to continue working..Grow up St Louis these guys are making millions of dollars playing a kids game..It was a game when ty cobb played sharpening spikes and all ..They did not make that much money and played thru injuries..Carpenter pitched one game this year and there still going to pay him HOGWASH.......GROW UP ITS A KID'S GAME...I understand a kid being fanatical not an adult...The economy in OUR city stinks we have alot of bigger issues...And to top it off we have these same cardinals that can't win drinking and driving and slaming into the back end of a tow truck...But nobody cares that  the operator of that tow truck could have been killed lets memoralize the idiot that was drinking and driving by wearing his number on our jerseys all year pathedic...WAKE UP BASEBALL TOWN OR NOT..THIS HOLE YEAR IS UNACCEPTABLE..

I have been very critical about this let me explain why!! The people of the state are paying for that stadium,Not just the people of ST LOUIS..And not any of the cardinal owners..And not the Bush family..Therefore it should be put to a vote..Other stadiums around baseball like comerica park in Detriot  or Ford field are owned by the Fords. So if Clay Ford wants to ban smoking from HIS stadium HE CAN!! IT BELONGS TO HIM..

However thats not the case here the public owns Bush..Therefore just like amendment 3 it should have been put to a vote..This is not like other stadiums in the country for awhile they were going to build it over on this side of the river..That stadium belongs to the state of Missouri..Not the city of St Louis..Or the owners of the cardinals..or the Bushs..

So here is my point!! If you?? being a tax payer in Missouri knew they were going to ban smoking from a stadium that you were going to pay for!! would you have voted for a new stadium..Remember they did not have the money for it..We still live in America people AND POWER STILL BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE.. It make no differance if you have tickets for the games or not..Or weither like baseball you are still paying for that stadium!!and have a right to say what goes on there..The people make the rules. If the Bushs owned it they could make the rules..Other stadiums are owned by companys others are owned by single indivuals if they want to ban smoking without a vote thats fine..But not here..

Don't  panic but there is room for concern? Was the headline in the post!! All I can say is excuse after excuse..I was 20yrs  back in 1980 and was playing basketball at the Ymca in Chicago on madison st..I had just over gone knee surgery..One of my teammates said if you can't keep up sit down!! cuz youre bringing us down!!..If youre hurt don't play!! I agreed with him.I HAPPEN TO VIEW this statement in the post as an excuse..They were not prepared to play ball!! And if they don't start pretty soon, I DON'T CARE HOW MANY GAMES ARE LEFT..They are getting into a poor groove, And it will continue..Unless the own up to the fact they walked into the season like they were Baseball gods and indestructable....Wake up those bats let's go cards..

When was the last time a world series champ lost  the 1st 2 games of the following season ..answer 1926..

Listen folks I like the Cardinals But we are making negitive history now..These cards suck big time..GET RID OF WILSON  in my last post I said get rid of Jimmy to...Ok I WILL COMPROMISE  get rid of everyone in the outfield but Edmonds..

Holy cow..what a great start for looper...Destroyed  By the rest of the team!!! Last year are beloved Cardinals ONLY WON 83 GAMES..Weve lost  some great players....I said we would finish 3RD..MAYBE!!! Right now the the Cards look like a minor league team.. 

Seriously we need to get out fielders with a bat...Ive said it b4 and I will say it again...If we are keeping Jim Edmonds like Al said last nite (we won't trade him) !! FINE...Duncan is a first baseman  trade him....Rolen we can't afford.. Trade him...Wilson trade him.....With Rolen we can get a top notch outfielder...Spezio played third most of last year and did a great job..With  both Duncan and Wilson we can get a outfielder and a relief pitcher..

Well last nite Well's pitched a good game..However the Cardinals still can't field the ball..And more excuse's..If your hurt don't play..They needed to trade Jim Edmonds ,Joe Buck and AL said they were glad the Cards sighned him for 2 more years hogwash..The guy spent most of last year on the DH.If they got rid of Edmonds and Wilson they could bring in new talent..And the next time Rolen goes on the DH get rid of him too..We got speizio (however u spell it)We need more pitching..And hitting..We are in a very tough divison Milwaukee is ONLY ONE of the teams that are going to pose a problem for us.THE CUBS HAVE NEW MANGEMENT..Pittsburg looked pretty tough playing the Astros they won both games..The Astros are tough..The Cardinal's might finish 3rd..And Tony needs to wake up and be a little more respondent to reporters.
