Jim Edmonds has waived his no trade clause in his contract and ageed to be traded, I heard that and thought," How big of him" He has spent most of the year on the DL, He is owed 8 million next year...Who's going to pickup that bill??? He is old, His skills have diminished...What club would even consider this guy???The Cardinals have locked themselves into some bad deals, This was one....Rolen was another,,If Jocketty, and La Russa leave, GOOD...

I'm sure Edmonds would agree to be traded...to San Diego, Los Angeles, or Anaheim.

How do you say that Rolen was a bad deal?? Because he got hurt? Happens doesnt it? What if you were the best prospect that just got hired for a job and you got hurt soon thereafter? They would say your a waste of space. Rolen has put up good numbers at the plate, but has suffered of late, because of ailing problems from his shoulder injury. But I would much rather count on the other 7 or 8 guys in the lineup to give superior offense and have an all-star defensive 3rd baseman. He has had some big hits this season as well that have either won the game or gave us a better chance at winning. I much rather would see encarnacion gone because of his high strikout rate and his poor defensive caliber. It is a blessing to see Ankiel out in his positon. Kennedy was a bad choice. Why doesn't anyone mention him?

Then you bring up lasrussa. One of the most sucessuful managers and you want to ditch him? Why because his stlye is different than yours while you sit in your living room watching the game thinking you can do better. I admit some things he does are strange and unorthodox, but he does what he can to give the team a better chance of winning. It has worked several times lately having the pitcher bat eighth. Didn;t give up any runs when Spezio and Miles pithed. If he had a losing record and would never reach the playoff or the world series, then yes. But you expect that your team reaches the playoffs and and world series every year and the one time they don't you want the manager gone. If you didn't know the cardinals have one of the most frequent visits to the playoffs.

Oh and to speak upon your initial comment on Edmonds. Again, he doesn't plan on getting hurt when he goes to play. Like Rolen, Edmonds is one of the best OF's that have played the game. Best routes to the ball, great vision of the ball. You just doubt him now because he has been hurt, again, by throwing his body for the ball and getting the other team out. You just rather throw him away. It's a shame. I'd rather see better production from his bat, but he's been getting some good hits lately. He's trying to do what he can to help the team. Im pretty certain in his belief that he will only go one more year. I beleive he has his heart set on retiring and playing some golf. I'd hate to see him go because he is quite vocal and a good person to have on the field and in the clubhouse.

I can't see Edmonds leave the cardinals. He's a great player and he's the best center fielder I've ever seen.. And rolen he is a great third basemen. As it goes for LaRussa I don't care if he gets fired or not.

Are you nuts? Rolen was and still is an All-Star caliber player. Edmonds is one of the greatest defensive outfielders of all time. How can you even consider the trades for these guys to be bad trades? Larussa may not be the best manager, but who else is there?

Rolens numbers or Edmonds numbers do not compare to others with similer saleries, Go MLB.COM and shop and compare..That why Tony has brought up Ankiel, Ludwick, Ryan, he needs bargining power..Rolen hit well 1 season compare him to David Wright, or Rameriz in Chicago, Compare both fielding stats and batting averages, and saleries...Edmonds you can't even compare because he has been on the DL most of the year...

How do you compare Scott Rolen to David Wright, BA305 HR22 13ER IN 205ATT..Rameiz who is not an allstar BA 313 HR 16 ERR 5/175 ATT..Nevermind Chipper Jones, OR Cabrerra

SCOTT ROLEN, BA-261 HR-7 ERR-7 IN205 ATT

HOW DO YOU FIGURE SCOTT ROLEN IS AN ALLSTAR??
