Why are people so upset about InBevs' takeover of Anheuser-Busch?

For years the US has been sending jobs overseas because of the cheap labor. Stockholders and CEO's want huge profit margins so they take the skilled labor in the US and trade it to foreign speaking workers. (Tech-support workers from India are the worst.) InBev is just trying to do what Anheuser-Busch will be trying to do soon. Send work overseas because the labor is cheaper.

America is no longer the mighty power it was back in the 60's and before. Our labor unions have bargained themselves out of the market place. The CEO's, who want to make more money than the next CEO's, are destroying the companies they work for, IE: McDonnell-Douglas, TWA Airlines. The Americans who buy foreign import products because the price is cheaper and quality better. We are all responsible for America's downfall.

Our military is STILL the best on earth and we will defend any country against a foreign agressor. True. But who is the real idiot? You do not see Russia or China or any other country spending billions upon billions of their money to win a police action. And look what it's doing to the USA. Higher taxes, higher fuel prices, higher food prices. We, each and every American, are the ones paying for this.

It's time for us to STOP. Stop the war, stop the greed, stop the frivilous lawsuits, stop the welfare fraud, stop the global warming, stop being the doormat to the world.

The solution to America's problems is simple, not easy.

First, bring all the soldiers back home from around the world. We have enough high-tech spy stuff to monitor trouble spots without putting lives at risk.

Second, seal the borders, use the military from around the world.

Third, verify the citizenship of every single man. woman and child. If you can't produce documentation you are immediately deported to the country of your choice.

Fourth, put a cap of $100,000 on any lawsuit and lawyers get a flat fee not a third of the damages.

Fifth, limit the salary of any CEO, CFO of other company bigwig to 100 time what the lowest paid worker gets.

Sixth, put a cap on all professional sport and entertainment salary at $1,000,000 a year, use the extra funds to give raises to teacher, public servants (fire and police) and the military.

This system would bring about a balance in the economy, lower taxes, and bring America back th the GREAT country she once was. Think of what we all could do with all that extra money floating around.

Thank you and may God bless.

I feel that when we sell or move our jobs to the foreign country's, we do cause damage to our country. My personal feeling is this .. if they sell .. I no longer will purchase AB .. well ImBev products!! There are other local breweries that can use the support and will appreciate our support. To all St Louisians .. If AB sells, lets support our local, US owned breweries. Lets show ImBev what they are buying!!

My letter may sound like socialism. The fact is that Americans have gotten so GREEDY for money, power and possessions that it hurts everybody. Instead of "Do Unto Others...." we've adopted a "I Want Mine....." mentality. Just look at the frivilous lawsuits, people do dumb things, get hurt and want somebody else to give them tons of money for being stupid AND IT WORKS!!!!! When an idiot wins big we all lose big. Who do you think pays for that big settlement? The lawyers get their share first. IE: Tobacco settlement. The companies don't lose money they pass the loss on to the consumer, you and me.
Look at how many people are over their heads in debt. Houses are being foreclosed because lenders were forced not to discriminate. Now when you can't make your house payment they take your house and every other house in that block loses value. Now your house may be worth less than you owe for it.
In many ways socialism is good for everybody, you give me a fair days work and I'll give you a fair wage. You don't work, you don't get paid, no welfare.

Patriotism is easy to understand in America - it means looking out for yourself by looking out for your country. It consists not in waving the flag, but in striving that our country shall be righteous as well as strong. Today’s American corporate leadership has lost their bearings of true Patriotism…and it’s a damn shame! Having Anheuser-Busch sell out to a foreign entity would be equivalent to selling Harley-Davidson to Kawasaki. Un-American as "baseball and enchiladas”. I’m tired of today’s American corporate executives that are truly blessed to be in positions of high-places, those that can really make a difference for all Americans and leave a great historical legacy like our founding fathers did…sell out due to their personal agenda, greed and incompetence. Why does Adolphus IV want to sell to InBev? Because he is a weak leader with his nervous ramblings of playing second fiddle within a so-called global powerhouse (check out the video…he’s fidgety, playing with a pen, acting cocky etc.) AB should be buying InBev! A real leader His ancestors got to be spinning in their graves! Look what happened to TWA…one of the great airlines of the 20th century...gone due to some corporate loser. I wonder if American Airlines will sell to Virgin-Atlantic? PS: I have nothing against Kawasaki or enchiladas (used purely to make a statement).
