Bill says: 'In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor.'
The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal. Some of these Panthers still live in Cuba.
Bill says: 'Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids.'
The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.
Bill says: 'Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers.'
The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas, none, and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.
Bill says: 'President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman.'
The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.
Bill says: 'She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital.'
The facts are: Yes she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-Mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.
Bill says: 'Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance.'
The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. I know; I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.
Bill says: 'Hillary was the face of America all over the world.'
The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.
Bill says: 'Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues.'
The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation. One set up a national park in Puerto Rico A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Presently she is trying to have the US memorialize theWoodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.
Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country (that's you and me!) when it comes to the war on terror.
1. She wants to close GITMO (Guantanamo Base, Cuba) and move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.
2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA .
3. She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.
4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells and supporters in the USA .
5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.
One cannot think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror.
But, one can think of a lot of comments she has made that weaken our country and makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us.
Bottom line: She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned. "

Pocket Taser Stun  Gun, a great gift for the wife ..... A guy who purchased his lovely wife a  pocket Taser for their 
anniversary submitted this.
 
Last weekend  I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest.  For our 15th anniversary I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt,  pocket/purse-sized taser. The effects of the taser were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her  adequate time to retreat to safety.  WAY TOO COOL!
 
Long story short,  I bought the device and brought it home.  I loaded 2 AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the  button.  Nothing, I was disappointed. I then learned however, that if I pushed the button AND pressed it against a metal  surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arch of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.  AWESOME!!!? 
 
Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is 
on the face of her microwave!  Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right?!
 
There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently 
(trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and but then thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat.  But if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger,  I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong???
 
So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading 
glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand and taser in another.
The directions said that a  1-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a 2-second  burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily  control; a 3-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on  the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than 3 seconds  would be wasting the batteries.  All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with 2 itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, "no possible way!"
 
What happened next is almost beyond  description, but I'll do my best ..... I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, "don't do it big dummy," reasoning that a 1-second burst from such a tiny little ole thing  couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a 1-second burst just for heck of it.
 
I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the  button and ..... HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!  
 
I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position and tingling in my legs!
The cat was standing over me making meowing sounds I had never heard before, licking my face, undoubtedly thinking to herself, "Do it again, stupid, do it again!"
Note: If you ever feel compelled to "mug" yourself with a taser, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a 1-second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor. A 3-second burst would be considered conservative.

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. How did they get up there??? My triceps, right  thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs!  I'm still looking for my testicles! I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!!

PS. My wife loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it! If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid.

Bryson thinks setting down with 73 and F.I.R.E will move this fire dept in a new direction.

Wrong the same sticky points will be and continue to be. F.I.R.E wants management job given(Capt and Batt chiefs jobs without taking competitive test.) They historically finish poor and they continually blame that on Racism.  F.I.R.E wants time in service and the racial makeup of the city 51 to 53% depending on  whose numbers you believe! these two  factors are what they, F.I.R.E wants as a criteria  for promotions.

Internet harassment. I watch the news story on fox2. now with death of the young women in St. Charles county because of my space.

it can be inferred that and type of disagreement you might have for another on a forum could be construed as harassment.

I am now posting my last post or opinion on this forum. I don't need that kinda grief because I have a different opinion about people.

I hope all will be safe, remember if needed your firefighters will be there.
