I would like to know what law permits law enforcement to issue traffic tickets based on a fuzzy picture of a license plate cross referenced with a motor vehicle registration database. If the crime is not personally observed by a law enforcemnet officer, how can it be enforced? The main problem here is that the registered owner (RO) of the vehicle gets the ticket, even if they were not operating the vehicle at the time the alledged offense occured. This puts the RO of the vehicle in an extremely awkward and unfair position. It falls on them to determine who was operating the vehicle, and then, either rat them out or make them pay the fine, while the RO incurs the points on their license. It's as if the RO is guilty until proven innocent. This has to be a violation of our rights. Are we not to be assumed innocent until proven guilty? On what legal grounds can they do this? Cameras are fine, as long as they are monitored by an officer, an officer who can testify in court about what he saw.

When it’s least expected, you’re elected. The cops have no obligation to protect YOU as an individual. As is evident in cases such as the Metrolink station assaults and robberies, Police were unable to protect those citizens from the evil of society. You, and only you, will be in a position to protect yourself and your family, should the scum of Saint Louis decide to make you and your loved ones a target. Yes, they had cameras. A lot of good that does during the crime if there isn’t an armed guard monitoring those cameras ready to step out of his "guard shack" to deal with the hoodlums. They may be good after the fact for identification of the perpetrators. OK – well that’s little consolation to a murder victim and his family. And with this type of gang violence, the death of innocents is inevitable.
Gun control advocates believe you should be sheep. So what if a few sheep are lost to the wolves? The wolves will always have sharp teeth, while the sheep have nothing but one or two sheep dogs that will not be there in time to help when the wolf attacks. No, the wolf isn’t stupid enough to attack when the sheep dog is nearby. As for these platform punks, they better take heed, or they may find themselves in a Death Wish sequel. I won’t be a victim. And I would much rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six.

As reported by Fox 2 News, we will run out of IP addresses in about 3 years. IPv4 addresses that is. The standard IPv4 network address is 32 bits long. The new IPv6 network address scheme is 128 bits long. The Internet will not end, it will just change a little in the way devices connected to it are configured. There will be no real difference to end users. I really think this little fact should have been reported.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind if you do not want your vehicle stolen. And they're free!!!
First, do not leave you vehicle running unattended.
Second, lock your doors and pocket the key.
I hope this helps anyone who wasn't clear on the concept.

This is about the case of the man firing into a vehicle that was NOT posing any threat to him. This is clearly not a case of self defense. What justification did this man have to shoot another man in the back? It wasn't even the man who stole his vehicle. And, there was a young child in the car that could have been killed instead of the driver. Reckless.
I support concealed carry because I believe in my right to protect my life, my family's lives, and anyone who may be in immediate danger of being killed or injured by another. I do not believe I have the right to shoot another man in the back because his friend stole my truck. And if the shooter claims he did not intend to kill anyone, then what was he shooting for? Did he think the guy would actually stop or something? Again, reckless.
Sadly, If the shooter had shut the the truck off and pocketed he key the whole tragedy would have been avoided.
Throughout the history of mankind, it has never been OK to shoot any man in the back except maybe during times of war. And even then, it is not honorable combat. History has more often then not branded such people as murderers or assasins.

Traffic
How to surive STL traffic:
1. Always expect the driver in front of you to slam on his brakes for "no apparant reason".
2. Always expect that driver waiting on the side street to pull out in front of you.
3. Always expect the driver next to you will want to get in front of you.
4. Always expect the driver next to you will not let you get in front of them.
5. Never rely on another driver's turn signal. Watch the other driver for clues as to what they are going to do. For example, if a person is checking their blind spot, they might be getting ready to change lanes. Same if they are checking their side mirrors. Also, if they're not slowing down then they're not turning. Even if their turn signal says they are.
6. Never assume another driver will "let you into" "their" traffic lane.
7. Sometimes a little determination is required to "force" your way into traffic. The other drivers around here will take advantage if you are are a "'fraidy cat".
8. In STL, the fast lane is the slow lane, and the slow lane is the fast lane. This is evident by common practice.
9. Don't drink and drive. You WILL be caught eventually.
10. PAY ATTENTION when you are driving. You can't be watching for all of these things if your gabbing on your cell phone, texting a message, putting on your "face", or eating a burito.
Thank you.

Do not believe everything you are told.
Do not believe everything you see on TV or read in the paper.
Do not believe everything you see or read on the internet.
There is no one to blame for your own misfortunes but yourself.
You must believe in yourself.
You can't do anything about what other people do.
You can't worry about other peoples' problems.
In short:
Mind your own business and mind it well.

Please people.......Merge does not mean Stop - it means get your butt up to speed with the rest of the traffic on the highway so that you can "merge" with it. Please, please, please - DO NOT stop on an on ramp unless there is a traffic jam. It's a good way to get plowed from behind.

After getting us hooked on yet another series action drama - Fox pulls the plug on "Drive"?
No explanation or anything - Left us out to dry on a cliffhanger they did. Hey Fox - How about an explanation - or at least publish the story in print so we know what happens.
All we get are reruns of House now on Monday nights (Yawn) I like the character "House" played by Hugh Laurie, but the hospital thing has gotten really old.
Fox has gotten old - "24" never should have went pass the first season - "American Idol" needs to die already - "Prison break" I like but we have to wait until Fall to see any more new ones -"Drive" was our only hope for something new during the summer.
Except for Fox 2 News in the morning and evening - I won't be watching Fox until "Prison Break" returns.
