IM SORRY BUT I HAVE TO PUT MY 2 CENTS IN ON THIS ONE!!!!

 

17 GIRLS IN ONE HIGH SCHOOL PREGNANT!!!!!   WOW!!!

NOW BEFORE THIS CAME OUT TO THE PUBLIC THIS SCHOOL HAD PROVIDED A DAY CARE FOR THIER STUDENTS. SO OBVIOUSLY THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON IN THIS AREA FOR QUITE SOME TIME!!! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A HIGH SCHOOL PROVIDING DAY CARE SERVICES FOR STUDENTS. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE THINK SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG WITH THIS COMMUNITY OR IS IT JUST ME.

I THINK PROVIDING FREE DAY CARE TO THE STUDENTS IS JUST AN INCENTIVE THIS IS CRAZY. I AM 28 YEARS OLD AND I STILL DONT HAVE KIDS. I MAKE PLENTY OF MONEY AND IM STILL SCARED THAT I WOULD NOT BE FINANCIALLY STABLE FOR A CHILD. HOW DO KIDS TAKE CARE OF THESE BABIES?

In the good ol days... (1980's).

Teens avoided having sex and having babies because they had ZERO way of caring for that kid. They had to drop out of school. They had to get JOBS!! Forget prom and going to college. You have a baby to support.

Heck it terrified me. I didnt want a baby.
I wanted a future. So I said NO.

All that has changed.
Now thanks to all the bleeding hearts of the nation you have people giving these girls help and money from the second that she gets knocked up.

Wick, food stamps, welfare, free housing, free day care, free transportation, Free health care, free school supplies, free clothes, free summer camps, free trips to 6 flaggs. And they NEVER have to work a day in their lives to pay it back. EVER!!!!

They are now being rewarded for getting pregnant. There is nothing stopping them.

Stop rewarding them. Sure the boy helped but he can only do what the girl allows him to do. Its their body and they should be protecting it.

It's common everywhere... I see girls in maternity tops all the time in school..... 17 is a pretty high number but every school has to deal with it..... Look around and the cause might be obvious......

When I was in high school, if you got pregnant, you were made to quit......until the principle's daughter got pregnant! It all changed then.
And as to who's raising the bablies of babies....the grandparents are.

The high school I went to has a daycare for the children of students too. Has for a while.

Yes, it's crazy. But, vote liberal, you get liberal results. It's not rocket science.

What grossed me out the most about this story was that some of the girls were pregnant BY HOMELESS MEN. Heard it on the news. Can you imagine?

When I heard Hollywood to blame they made reference to Brittany Spears younger sister and another girl, both pregnant, both acting like nothing wrong with young girls getting pregnant.

If we could teach them about ways to prevent teen pregnancy and the spread of std's then we wouldn't have as big of an issue. Why in the world would anybody think it is a good idea to teach abstinance only in schools. Come on now! School officials and the politicians all know that most teens are sexually active in one form or another. Teach our kids about proper ways to protect themselves! I am not going to blame it all on the our educators; parents are to blame too. No, you cannot watch every move that your child makes but you can teach them how to use controceptives properly.

I think there are more pregnancies because the fear of getting pregnant has changed through the decades.

Use to be you were booted out of school, sent to your "aunts" who lived in another state, or whatever other fear of what would happen. It was a big taboo to be an unwed mother decades ago.

My mother's sex education program for us girls was STAY A GOOD GIRL AND YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING.... She said it in such a way you were scared of what would happen to you if you got "caught".

As a woman who was forced to quit school at 17, I feel I have a real understanding of this, on many levels.
I do not believe in school daycare. I believe it gives an opportunity.
I BELIEVE in sex education and prevention.
I LOVE my daughter, yet, I had to quit school. I was put in an inappropriate situation, because I was a young girl, yet I was a mother.
We need to understand sex is a natural process and a part of becoming an adult. To tell anyone to not do what their bodies are urging them to do is ignorant.
Nature. It has a mind and force beyond parental control. Get wise, and have conversations with your children. Teach them to make choices and to understand the outcome. Give them the resources to help them. Pregnancy is going to happen. You can either hide your head in the sand and pretend you have control, or you can be a good parent and know what your children are living through.
Please? They need us to understand them, not the other way around...
