McKinney to represent Greens on ballot —Rick Pearson | Chicago Tribune 9:42 AM CDT, July 13, 2008Green Party delegates selected former Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of Georgia as the party's presidential nominee on Saturday in wrapping up their convention in Chicago, Ruth Weill, the party's national convention coordinator, said.
McKinney tapped Rosa Clemente, a hip-hop artist, journalist and activist, as her running mate as the party seeks to turn its progressive agenda into automatic ballot status in several states.
