Hey Movie Buffs --

I just interviewed Tyler Perry about his new movie, "The Family that Preys".   For someone who is worth more $$ than most of us will see in a lifetime ... TP is extremely down-to-earth.    As soon as I know when the interview will air, I'll let you know.

Mister Perry has  played St. Louis many times .. bringing his wildly successful stages plays to  the Fox Theatre.  He told me he loves the crazy St. Louis audiences .. only rivaled by Chicago and Detroit.

What do you think of Tyler Perry? Are you a fan and why?  What's your favorite TP movie?

Talk to me, people!  ;-)

I did not watch the X-files on TV.  It's not that I didn't like it. I just never started watching it.

That said, I can tell you that I enjoyed the movie. (3 out of 4 reels)  My favorite movie genre is suspence/thriller .. and this one is a pretty good one.

You don't have to be an X-Files fanatic to "get" this movie.  It stands alone.

But I'd love to hear what some of you X-Files fans think of the movie.

Here's my review:  click here.

Hey Gang  --

I'm a big fan of the musical on stage .. but I gotta tell ya .. I'm disappointed in the movie version.   There are a few non-singers who got the job because they're stars.  Sorry .. in a movie like Mamma Mia!, you need to not only be able to act the part, but also SING the part.

That being said ... I've got nothing but good things to say about the young woman who plays Sophie. Her  name is Amanda Seyfried and she's terrific.

If you'd like to see my review of the film, click here

Also ... I interviewed all the stars .. including the world's great actress, Meryl Streep.  I wanted  you to be able to see the entire interviews .. so just click on their names, then their pictures to check 'em out.

Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski

I want to know what you think of Mamma Mia!  Did you like it?  Hate it?  Somewhere in between?

As I write this, I'm in Hollywood about to interview David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson about the new X-Files movie.  More on that later.

Talk about an amazing performance .. Heath Ledger is terrific as the Joker in The Dark Knight.  In fact, I think he'll get a posthumous Oscar nomination.

And ... as to all that speculation that Ledger was driven to his untimely death because he was consumed by playing the demented character ... his co-stars told me that's simply not true.  They say he was fine on the set and showed no signs of being haunted by the role.

For you Batman fans ... I'd love to hear what you think about the film.  So .. after you see it, come back here and chime in.

My favorite interview for this movie was with Vern Troyer (aka Mini Me from the Austin Powers movies)  ... especially because we conducted the interview in an office just his size!  Check it out at:  Vern Troyer.

Got questions about your love life?   How to get a man/woman? How to dump a man/woman?

Let me know what you want to know from the guru of love .. and I'll ask him. (aka Mike Meyers)

Get creative!

What's your favorite movie .. and why?

I'll go first .. mine is Dangerous Liaisons. Why?  Because it's got a great story, great writing, great costumes, great acting .. and Glenn Close.  She chews through the scenery.  Priceless.

Speed Racer fans .. it's finally here .. the movie you've been waiting for.  Just one problem.  Two words:  Iron Man.   Iron Man is such a huge hit that I'm afraid Speed Racer will be forced to eat Iron Man's box office dust.  Opening any movie the week after a blockbuster like Iron Man can be the kiss of death.    I hope I'm wrong because Speed Racer is a thrilling movie that should be seen on the big screen.  The special effects are amazing .. visually, this movie is stunning.

So .. my question for you .... will you go to see Speed Racer on the big screen?

If so ... what did you think of the movie?

St. Louis native John Goodman plays Pops Racer.  To see my interview with him and the other stars, just click on their names:

Who's up for a little Sex in the City?

I'm going to NYC this weekend to interview the Sex and the City ladies for their upcoming movie.  So ... I thought it would be fun to give you, the Fox 2 viewers, the opportunity to ask them questions.  NOTHING IS OFF LIMITS! (well, almost nothing)

Here's an example:

Katie from Cahokia wants to know:   "Sarah Jessica Parker ... did you get to keep any of the shoes from the show?"

Be creative, be inquisitive, have fun!  I promise I'll use some of your questions on the air!

Kevin

p.s.   I'll also be talking to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and Jennifer Hudson .. so you can ask them questions, too.

Hey Gang --

If you're looking for a really good movie for you and the kids ... check out Nim's Island. (click here to see my review) (it opens April 4)

I recently went to Hawaii to interview the stars:   Jodie Foster, Little Miss Sunshine's Abigail Breslin, and 300's Gerard Butler.

I did something fun called "Speed Round with the Stars" ... drilling them with quick questions and they had to answer with whatever popped into their heads.  Gerard, in particular, was hilarious.  Click on their names to check it out.

I loved this movie. It's a fun adventure for kids.  Jodie told me it took her back to her childhood when she made all those great Disney films like Freaky Friday.  Even though she's now known for her serious, dramatic roles, she was glad to switch it up ... and make a film that her 2 sons (ages 6 & 9) would enjoy.

Let me know what you think!

Kevin
