The politicians are giving the public money away to prop up failing banks and financial firms instead of to promote community financial growth to generate more in-country created wealth and new business and product creation opportunities in the country to give the people of the country the opportunity to pay off the increased debt they are piling on them, and which would also promote money movement in the banks and in the communities which is what they say they want to do.

A country is the assemblage of communities and they generate the vast majority of the in-country revenue creation.  It doesn’t come from the few currently large companies that owe their creation and growth to the people of the country’s communities or from the wealthy who feel they owe nothing to the country.

The majority of the jobs in the country that allow the local financial markets to survive are created to accommodate community needs and interests.  The failure of the local businesses causes the failure of a community and the failure of many communities causes city and State failures.  So, if you are promoting the destruction of the communities you are destroying the body of the country.

People who don’t work don’t buy things in their community so small businesses disappear and there is less opportunity for new business creation.   Disappearing small business in communities causes the community to die.  Allowing the communities that make up the country to fail causes the country to lose new wealth creating opportunities to pay the massive increased debt owed by those very same people so the country will eventually fail, and the people will lose many of their freedoms as they become slaves to having to beg for work at the few big businesses that are left and that are controlled by the worlds’ wealthy who care nothing for people.

They have taken the people’s money to prop up the biggest banks, but in-country banks will not be able to start up or to survive if the money they rely on is not being generated in-country by the many small business owners of the country but is only moving around those big banks so US interests can be bought up by foreigners.  The money has gushed out of the US for decades because the politicians don’t want to direct the country and have instead allowed the greed of free markets to choose the direction the country takes, and now it is being used to purchase America’s property, businesses, and resources.

And, simply propping up the in-country auto industry’s big three manufacturers to now start to compete with foreign country automakers current vehicle lineups makes no sense.  Why would it make sense to give them money to play catch-up with the foreign companies?  If they are given any money it should be part of a country wide rebuild plan and they should have to build the next generation vehicles so they won’t constantly be in danger of failing but instead have an opportunity to be leaders in the world.

Is this a description of the "CHANGE" we have been hearing about?

"Is this a description of the "CHANGE" we have been hearing about?"

I take it you are against "changing" the way the politicians are spending borrowed $Billions because you like them giving so much money to the banks and financial institutions to prop them up so those people can continue to receive their big salaries and big bonuses while the taxpayer simply takes on all the debt risk and the communities that are the heart of the country go bankrupt?

Are you really so delusional that you think the country is in a good economic condition, and that the practices that brought it to this point should be continued?

I am against our government giving borrowed money to anyone. I am also against borrowing the money in the first place.I am against government having the authority to do either one. If someone wanted to go by the constitution; government probably doesn't have that authority.
The only banks that are going broke are the government banks. Let them go bankrupt. Get government out of the banking business.Get government out of the business of business.
An economy is always in perfect shape and operates according to natural law. An economy is affected by natural law the same way a computer is affected by laws of electronics. A type-o or another really big stupid mistake will change the computer output. Sub prime loans, Fanny Mae Mac, GSIs and other big stupid liberal mistakes by congress caused the economy to hit the skids.
Over-regulation and "change"caused the banking crisis not (not I say) lack of regulation.

"An economy is always in perfect shape and operates according to natural law. An economy is affected by natural law the same way a computer is affected by laws of electronics."

Well it looks like your theory of a perfect economic system ruled by natural law fails to take into account human beings' greed and selfishness. It seems you have left out the laws of programming requirements for your computer to function properly. And, only someone who is delusional thinks the economy is in perfect shape or that economies always are in perfect shape.

"Over-regulation and "change" caused the banking crisis not (not I say) lack of regulation."

Are you living in the same world as the rest of us, or maybe in a room with very soft walls? Your perfect system was left to make its own rules, and without any imposed rules to mitigate human greed this is the result.

And, private banks and financial institutions are failing, not just government run banks as you claim. You are basically anti-government aren't you? Bet you like using the roads, hospitals, fire services, etc., that governments supply though.

Finally, a situation exists and political whining about who is to blame is foolish because the concern now is how to reinvigorate the economy.

The premise behind the bailout was if we take the toxic assets off the balance sheets the financial institutions they would not sell off assets at a rate that would devalue the assets.

Well that didn't work.

So now we need to turn our attention on how to help people who have lost their jobs to find jobs that do not devalue their worth. As unemployment insurance is structured it is all or nothing. We need to shore up the incomes of the unemployed. If we spend X amount of money paying benefits for Y amount of time then what if we spend X - what wage they can get right now. We would be able to stretch X for a period of time of Y + the difference between new wage and X divided by the period.

If that made no sense then welcome to the world of credit default swaps, I digress. If we only pay the difference between their new wage and the old as opposed to a set benefit, we can continue benefits longer giving the unemployed more time to find a good job. It also saves the fund money.

OK Jose You are beginning to understand an economy. It is a perfect reflection of everything that goes into it. Every bank deal, every trade, every cash or credit deal, anything of value that moves from one person to another is reflected as the economy. The economy itself is perfect because all transactions are contained within it. For every loss there is a gain for someone else. For every failure a new start.
An economy is not static and depends on fair value trade activity for growth. Very large transfers of goods, service,or money without fair value exchange slow an economy to a standstill and then to shrinkage. It is the nature of the beast and it works the same, all the time, regardless---period.....The economy of itself is perfection because it functions naturally. The economy makes corrections for greed fear exuberance caution and all the emotions of man. The only thing a free market economy cannot correct for is government interference stuck on stupid.

Jose Free market economy works every time it is tried. Socialistic, government managed economies, fail on a regular basis depending on the degree of regulation imposed on the market.
The only stimulus package that has ever worked is the stimulus of a tax cut. If the Obama administration follows the usual liberal big spending bailout, government control type policy democrats normally follow, the economy will have little chance to recover. The best stimulus package possible is a 20% across the board tax cut. My only advise for the general public is to buy low sell high and hide any profit from the IRS until the next conservative congress.

You conveniently forget that government investment in the building of roads, rail, water systems, and other infrastructure creates new business opportunities and promotes economic growth. Simply allowing the wealthy to greedily hoard their money does not promote the country’s economic growth, but simply allows them to purchase more of the currently created businesses. The idea that simply cutting taxes across the board is the way to promote economic growth is just a republican lie that they use to trick people as they cater to the greedy and wealthy who don’t believe they owe anything to the country.

Low taxes are important but so is the proper investment of those tax dollars in the country. It does no good to simply tell the small business owners that their taxes will be reduced if their business is under the very real immediate threat of bankruptcy due to the fact that people don’t have jobs so can’t buy their goods. Paying taxes is just part of the cost of being in business, and of even simply being employed, which allows us all the opportunity to benefit from the collective efforts of the people of the country so we may all live a better life with more freedoms and opportunities.

Cutting taxes now would be just more irresponsible stupidity after the politicians borrowed a $Trillion plus, and decided to guarantee even more, to just wastefully throw around in their foolish pretense of protecting and stimulating the economy.

Anyone with any real knowledge of the economy knows that small businesses employ the largest number of people, and that most new ideas and all big businesses begin their life in small businesses. Communities that have employed people in them are the only communities that can create new business creation opportunities to prosper and contribute to the economy.

And all communities support the communities around them. So if one community fails it affects the other communities that deal directly with it and it also affects those that deal with the communities that have linkages to the failing ones. Basically what we have here in an exponential growth or failure because of the relational union of the many communities that create countries. The more of them that fail the sooner the country will fail, and the more of them that prosper the more the country will prosper.

Pardon me Jose I should have remembered. The reason for starting a business is to hire people and support the commune. Starting a business has nothing to do with making a profit or ambition or the accumulation of personal wealth and power.People who start businesses, work 20hr 7day weeks so they can tie ribbons on trees sing koom bye ah. I should have remembered my jr high school theme paper; "What Democracy Means To Me And The Poor Wretched People Down the Street."

Oh wow, what a surprise. It's a good thing you told us that people start businesses because of their ambitions and for their own personal profit, because we never would have guessed that on our own. DUH!!!

Jose ---You have just written 20 paragraphs stating the purpose of a business is to pay tax for support of the commune and relational union collective.
The ideas you express are the exact opposite of personal profit. I only pointed this out to you because appeared you didn't know. I am very much aware that other people know that which you do not.
Ignorance is the most expensive commodity in an economy.

I apologize Jose. I just noticed U are from Canada a welfare state. You can't be expected to know about freedom and free market economy. As a socialist you sound exactly like an American Democrat. Down here Democrats say it is personal character assassination to callem socialists. The thing your economy in Canada has in common with ours is my favorite maxim:"garbage in = garbage out."
I apologize again--So you realise that when I speak of a perfect economy I speak of an economy different from the managed Socialist Model that evolved out of the divine right kingdoms.
( The model perfect economy): is individual persons companies corporations competing in peaceful trade without government intervention. The only limitation to perpetual prosperity within this model is government regulation of it.
Government is an expense to an economy. The only way government can help is to be less of an expense. Take less out of the economy by taking less tax.

You really don’t like to live in the world of reality do you?

You must have a major brain malfunction if you think you can simply lie about what I have said and promoted here and everyone will simply believe your lies. Do you think everyone just skips over the blog and other comments to go directly to your comments so you can just casually lie about what the blog and others are saying and everyone will just buy into your lies?

If you are throwing around lies and deceits because you are practicing to be a politician than you really should find a different venue than blogs, because what the other people really said remains posted for everyone to clearly see your lies for what they really are.

Jose-- This is one of those New Age poems ain't it. One of those poems where the words mean what you want them to mean and not necessarily the English dictionary meaning. I reread your blog. And it is just retread socialist propaganda for redistribution of wealth. High tax investment in the downtrodden masses otherwise referenced in similar themes as the proletariat,or communal collective.
You have called me dumb stupid liar but you and I both know that name calling is the first act of surrender to a superior argument.

Have you ever heard the old saying that it is better to be thought a fool then to open your mouth and leave no doubt?

Well, I will leave your own words here for every to see.

Now why don't you just go away and start your own republican party mantra board to parrot their propaganda, because you have proven you have nothing to contribute to ideas of how to fix the economy that you think is perfect but everyone else knows is broken.
