Sorry I don't belive in any kind of lights or alarms is any good to protect your home and love ones..

I belive in only one thing a dog the bigger the better..

When i lived in Ohio someone tryed to brake in why we was watching tv..Our german sheper went right through our window right through the glass..

He chassed the guy all way down to the river to the damm..He almost got the guy because in his mouth he had a hunk of blue jeans..

Sheriff got him at the hospital our dog bit him in the deari air if you know what I mean..

Buglars can cut phonelines and cut your electric off and brake in..

But a good dog 99% of bugrlars will just move on if they hear a dog..Even if it is a small one they will most the time move on to another home to brake into..

I like 2 dogs one big the other any size but dogs are your best bet I belive oh and a good hard baseball bat...I feel safe with that....

Not that I have ever done it. Mace will stop a dog in its tracks. Just ask somebody that use to break into houses. Now with that said, usually the burglar is just looking for the easiest house to hit.

Hey there John - speaking of lights etc...are you going to volunteer next time to change the Arch lightbulb? I would do it but as you see from my picture (avatar) I couldn't fit through that hatch!

LOL - actually, we use normal lighting at our home. Your typical motion light, walkway lighting, and hi/lo lighting. We also use cameras and alarm systems.

RF Technologies (www.rftechno.com) is the company that installed the system. Go to their website and check out their stuff. Couple that with a driveway alarm and PASS security - "almost" burglar proof!

We told him we would unlock the gate to let him in and put the dog in the house..But he walked over to the gate sprayed our dog..

Our dog then jumped the fence and attacked him no he could not sue us an he new it because my birth father is close friends with both the sheriff and police chife and has a cusion as a judge...

I used to train police dogs....... I was an agitator...... You know the guy that put on the padding and got bit........ Mace wont stop a good dog...... I doubt that you even have a chance to use it....... A dog that is out to get you will hit you at a 20 mile an hour rush and will have aleady predetermined exactly where he is going to bite first..... Usually your arm and they can bite with enough psi that you will pass out......

This is Leo and that is a 16 pound bowling ball he is carrying in his mouth..........

alarm systems have come a long way. security systems have battery backups. burglars can cut the electric system still works. some phone lines are exposed and can be cut but more and more are being buried. technology also has radio and cell phone backups in case phone lines are cut. most systems if phone line is cut automatically will turn on the siren. the siren itself many times is enough to scare burglars away.

my family pet may do its best to protect me and my home but i would rather have a security system too.

Yes CBNSTL that is correct about the exposed service box for telephones are not properly placed. We built our home a few years ago and my contractor thought I was crazy.

We buried one dummy line not in the same route as normal line and the service box is all underground and telephone dudes cannot access such unless they go in our basement.

Over 90% of folks with alarm systems can have their system "worthless" in one cut and 3 seconds.

Mr.Wild I know what you mean I grew up with big dogs..And everyone of them was friendly to who ever came to our home..

But if you are not welcome then they would attack you..

But I know for a fact that a dog can smell/sence fear..If you have no fear that dof even though trained very good will not attack you..

People in Ohio had 2 dobbies and both were trained by a higly known trainer in Toledo Ohio..He payed $1,500 to have the dogs trained to not let anyone on there property..

Well I helped my friend out delivering news papers..He was scared to death of the dobbies and could not collect on Saturday..

There property was surounded by treesh and bushes only way to get to the front door was walk the long driveway with 2 dobbies..

Well I got mabey 5 feet and both came growling and snarling..I put my hand down never looked them in the eye and said as nice as I could Hi fellas awwww..
I then walked to the door and knocked, the woman had a very shocked looked on her face..
She asked me how I got by the dogs and i said I just walk in here..
You owe for 3 weeks please pay and give me your card to punch..

Well her husbban was mad about that I walked all way up to there front door...
The dogs were gone by the next week and they had all this scuirty junk up..
We then had to push a button to say who we was look into a camara and then they open the gate they put up..

They was better off keeping the dogs for protection..I just have a way with animals and have no fear of them...

If the burglars don't like Larry then they're going to hate me. Matter of fact they can cut electrical and phone lines for the entire neighborhood and my direct link to the alarm company still functions thanks to the radio antenna and backup battery system.

When I'm home, their reception takes the word 'rude' to a whole new level!
