PERTZ

by Johnpertzborn from St. Louis

Last Post 2 days, 2 hours Ago

I Was on the air this morning when the call came in, Cody the dog is found in North St. Louis.  Cody was stolen with his Louisiana family's Chevy Suburban a week ago today from the cobblestone parking area below the Arch.       I nice fellow named Anthony found him near the Bissel Mansion site in North St. Louis last night.  Poor little Cody looked tired and hungry so Anthony brought him home and he gobbled up a whole can of Alpo.  The vets have looked at Cody and say he's ok despite some bites or cuts to his rear left leg.  His owners are coming back for Cody.  More to follow in a John Auble report later today.

It is wonderful to hear Cody will be back with his family. Dogs love for no reason at all and it is terrible when you lose them due to the meaness and greed of others.

Like to share with you a true story about 2 dogs.

A sheperd B.J. and a half sheperd collie mix Smokey were very close friends.

They had a huge back yard to play in that had a fence, but one day one of the kids left the gate open and Smokey got out an took off.

Every member of the family was out looking for him including B.J. there was a river and many filds to look for him.

Then all suden we heard a howling sound we new it was B.J. about 5 minets later here comes B.J. with Smokey. He had smokeys coller in his mouth and bringing him home..

This is a true story about 2 dogs who loved each other. And one who was smart anof to find and bring his buddy home were he new he be safe.

I am so glad Cody was found! Now let's find Domino, St. Louis! Domino is listed on the lost & found at craigslist.com. She is a black fluffy mid-sized dog. She escaped from her owners along with their other dog who was hit by the metrolink. Domino lives in Indianapolis. If you have any info or have seen her, please call Jeevan at 303-562-6543
Let's make another happy ending for another family!

That's TWO good things to happen today!

An historic election, with a positive outcome for a change, and Cody is found okay!

I was really hoping he was just let out to roam and would be found!

So this is very cool!

With all the bad press North St. Louis has received lately, it is nice to hear good news coming from there.

To Anthony (the man that found the dog) thank you for doing the right thing!

Most of us love our pets like they are our children, and the safe return of one will be a cause of rejoicing because it is like having a family member return home safely.”

I happened to turn the TV on right as the interview began with Cody's owner! How sweet it was that this dog made it and was returned.

I have to admit, though, this guy seemed more concerned about this forking guns than the dog. And he did continue on the hunting trip after losing the dog, did he not? I mean, what's more important - hunting and killing animals, or finding your beloved family dog? I would have stayed behind, like that other out-of-town family did when THEIR dog Mattie was stolen from the Delmar loop area a couple of years ago (Nov 2006). Remember them? They stayed for a few months, incurring great expense, to find their pet.

But I think that may be because their dog was more to them than just a hunting companion. After all, how much feeling for an animal can a hunter have in his heart?

I know just how much he must really want the thing that means the most to him back, though: his guns!

But I'm still glad for Cody! He looked happy!
