 Well I actually picked up a paper the other night and started reading it, then I came across an article that just  made me so upset, Caribbean monk seal is extinct, Human hunting for research, food and blubber has left the population unsustainable, there has not been a sighting since 1952, A biologist for NOAA's Fisheries said the species is the only seal to become extinct from human causes.

  My question is why were we hunting this seal for research and blubber, I can understand the food issue a little, not much but a little, but research and for the blubber thats just wrong IN MY OPINION,  why research? what could we possibly learn  by putting them through that, and blubber in products has been banned  from most countries for yrs, so why was there such a high demand? and why would we drive them to extnction? couldn't we have regulated ourselves? and the biggest question of all seems to be why does man have such a driven force to kill ? especially in the way they kill seals clubbing them to death. there is no sport in that its just awful. and my last question is why do we have to destroy so much, to have so little?

Earlier this evening I heard a story on the news that really made me mad, The Illinois politicians were going to vote on whether they should give themselves raises or not, if they voted yes they would all get 7000 more dollars over the next 2yrs and the governor would get 10000 over the next 2 yrs, Oh My God how ludicrious!!!! when the people of Illinois are struggling just to buy food and gas and other neccessaties of life, they're pondering raises how friken rediculous is that.

Heres a good idea, instead of them getting that money, they could raise the minimum wage .75 cents and show that they are not coldhearted, greedy @#$@#$ insert your own cussword there. maybe then the people of Illinois would'nt have to choose between gas and food, hey, we might be able to keep up with our bills to.

So I urge EVERYONE in Illinois to call or email their represenitives and the governor and tell them they should vote no on raises for them. We pay their salaries do we really want to pay them that much more, lets make them do the right thing.

What do we do when our children ask us(Mommy, Daddy, Where have all the trees gone , Where are all the animals, why don't the bird's fly in the sky? And why Mommy can't I go outside?) What are we going to tell them ? Should we tell them the truth, Sorry honey we destroyed the air  with our pollutants, ruined the soil and built over evrything until there was nothing  left,  so you can't go outside or you'll die of affixiation, you can never go outside again.  Shouldn't we all become part of the solution instead of being most of the problem? Remember Time Is Running Out!!!

     I  have lived in New Baden, IL for 11yrs now, 8 of those 11yrs I have owned 4 or more dogs, the limit in New Baden in the city is 3 dogs, I walk my dogs 2 at a time on a daily basis through the town many times past the police station and often past the police themselves with them waving at me as they go by in their cars, I have even stopped to talk with them when I've had my dogs with me, I have never caused any trouble I keep to myself , I work pay my taxes city, state, federal and local, but on 4-6-08 I had the police at my door they told me my neighbor complained that I was flicking cigarettes at his trailer from my deck, and that I had 4 dogs instead of 3, I don't even know this neighbor, have only spoken to him 2x in 1yr now supposedly Im flicking cigarttes at his trailer, so the chief of police tells me since I have 4 dogs I either have to give one up or move, so now I have to move out of town.  Then the next night 4-7-08 I was putting out my trash  and stopped to talk to 2 friends walking down the street and this neighbor came out of his house screaming and cussing at me about flicking cigs at his trailer, I was stunned then he called the police on me again,  I have no idea what he is talking about I have never flicked anything at his trailer.  what  I'm really aggravated with is the police have known for 8yrs that I've had more than 3 dogs  all abuse rescues, and now all the sudden they want me to move, well if they would rather have pyscos, drug dealers, drunks, and illegal immigrants living here, thats fine cause I would rather not live next to or in the same town as these people, which they are getting alot of here lately. so people beware  if your only crime is opening your heart to save a life any life don't move to New Baden cause you"ll be ridden out on a rail.  Oh and just a side note my dogs are inside dogs they only go out when I do, they don't run loose, and they are crate trained and obedience trained and very friendly dogs, and in the 11yrs I lived here I've only had 2 complaints and they were the two I mentioned above, and I should add that not all people from new baden are bad, but I have noticed alot more seedy people are moving in, that the police are doing nothing about. But my only crime is owning one more dog than allowed and I have to move?

Today I saw a dog chained outside to a patio furniture set in the wind and snow in the freezing cold weather, I called the Animal control to investigate and they mved the dog underneath a porch overhang  the dog was still shivering wet and getting belted with wind and snow when all they had to do was move the doghouse closer and put some straw in it for him so he could get out of the weather and be warm and dry.It's really sad when the people trained to do a job don't know what the laws are. So this is for all the people with outside dogs, if you can please bring your animal in during inclement weather, if you can't ,please provide them with adequate shelter to get out of the weather,( doghouse with straw)and adequate food and water, and please keep an eye on the water cause it will freeze, it must be changed often, Remember it is the law in Illinois a misdemeanorthat carries a hefty fine.

So be kind and save yourself a fine, your pet will love you for it and survive the winter.
