Hi everybody. . . .good to be back from a two week vacation . . . . and see the wonderful orchids at the annual ORCHID SHOW AT THE MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDEN!

They are gorgeous!  Show starts this Sat. 2/2 and runs daily, 9a-5p, through March 16th.

If you're a MOBOT member, it's free, if not, there's a small fee.

Totally worth it and . . .IT'S WARM IN THERE!    Yea!!!

Best to all,

Janis

Janis,
Thanks for the idea of something to do that's PRETTY and WARM!! Everything outdoors right now is so yucky right now...I think it would be a good mood-lifter to see those orchids.

How was Hawaii? You were surrounded by beautiful things there, I'm sure!!

My sister in Florida grows orchids and bromeliads on her lanai and in her greenhouse. (Lived near her for awhile). Can remember all the Epidendrums, Dendrobiums, Phalaenopsis...It was always fun to see what was blooming next. If you're ever in Sarasota, be sure to visit Marie Selby Botanical Gardens on the bay especially if you're into orchids and bromeliads.

Hi everybody, thanks for the comments.
Hawaii was great, though a little rainy and too cold to go in the ocean . . . or maybe I'm just a "pansy"!! Get the pun? People don't always realize Hawaii has seasons. August is a lot different from January . . .very hot . . .
but it IS always beautiful there, and 33 microclimates on Maui always keep Dave's interest!
