An elderly female  from a nursing  home  came to my hospital today and she has a "i voted sticker on her hand."  In  conversation I  ask her about voiting  she replied " I wanted  to vote for  John Mccain but the  people there encouraged  me to  vote for  Obama. Do you  think I could  change my mind."   So is  this how he wins , how many more times will this  story repeat  it self .

I  find it strange that  we have a TV show  that  rewards people that are  pigs and dont clean their houses.  I seem to remember that  these kind of  people  were not  felt  sorry for or  deserving of  a  new  make-over.   The  other night on this  show  Clean House the  house was so  filthy  it should have  been condemed.  They had  cat boxes that  were  years old , even the staff complained about the  smell.   The  couple  that  owened the  house were  young and able  bodied just  lazy.   This is  just  another example  of  rewarding  negative behavior and not being  responsible.

When I was growing up in a small town southeast mo , my world was my town.  When I was older my world was my south city neighborhood.  With the advances in communication we are now  more of a global neighborhood.  We know things that happen  far away within minutes.

The world has shrunk so now we are more involved in global business  then local. With this we have slowly lost our  status as the world power.  We buy from others, others now own companies in our country instead of us owning businesses in theirs.  We no longer set the standards for  products, we accept what others sell us. Is  this good or bad I  am not  sure.

Not being able to accept change well  I long for those  days with no WAl-mart, but small neighborhood stores.  When the things I bought were made here. I dont think that can ever happen again.   It is change  and  I dont think we can ever go back only forward toward a more  global  look at life and goverment, and  we may not be the top dog anymore.

I work for a small south city hospital with a long history .  A few years ago we were bought by a doctor corporation from AZ.  Since then they have been bleeding the profits and assests out of us and another hospital here in the city.  We have no MRI services (did't pay the bill),our security cars are always broken, a CT scanner they wont pay to fix, no paper, no light bulbs and somtimes no soap.  We make money but that  is not put back into the facility , our owner is building a 10 million dollar home in Scottsdale. This is the SOP of this  group , when they are done they will try to sell us but who wants to buy a  hospital in a depressed area that is broke.   I hate to  say this  but  this may be what  AB will be looking at, money hungry vultures that care nothing for the  company or the service they provid.

I never cease to wonder about our morals and justice system.  On one page we arrest a man who solicted sex with a underage female and  dismiss or slap on the hand the women that engages  in sex with  an underage male.

I feel we are sending wrong messages sex between adults and  underage kids is wrong and against the law.  The 21 year old teacher  who was "crying on the  14 year old shoulder"  was slapped on the wrist. Now  what does  that tell him it was ok to have sex with me, so when I grow up I guess I can have sex with young females.  The  29 yr old teacher  gave drugs  to the  15 year old she  suduced and they let her go.

Jefferson county should be really proud of it self for  maintaining the  status of "Damm i wish I had a teacher like that"

This is my first blog of my own and I have some real feelings about this topic so here goes.

My Husband was diagnosised as a insulin dependant diabetic a year later he was dead of colon cancer. I tried to tell the Doc that somthing else was wrong(I am a nurse). His Accuchecks were normal and he was losing muscle mass. So 14 months ago my 53 year old brother was diagnosised as a diabetic, to day he is dying of lung cancer. So has this happened to any one else. Strange and his doc did not get it either till it was too late.Could there be some relationship. Now I am not a conspiracy person but, look around at the number of hospital spending billions to create huge cancer treatment centers. Now if tomorrow finds what causesand the basiccure, what does the hospital do with all the money they have invested. The one thing I do know is "NO HOSPITAL IS NONPROFIT'.

You see I dont think we are winning the war on cancer, I dont even think we are holding our own. I see too many people going through thousands and thousands of dollars of treatment and dying anyway. I hope I wrong very wrong and that the medical profession would not do that to us. Who knows .
