Anheuser-Busch is in the fight of its life--Beer sales, and consequently A-B stock, are  flat. The beer industry is now dominated by multinational giants.  One of those giants, European brewer InBev, wants to own A-B with an offer of $46 billion.  The impact on St. Louis: TBD.

Similarly, Chrysler is also in a survival fight.  Faced with record-high oil prices, consumers are rapidly moving away from full-size pick-ups and minivans to more fuel-efficient cars.  The impact on St. Louis: Thousands of jobs will be lost at the Fenton plants.

These two economic stories are the springboard for our FOX 2 town hall meeting on Thursday night at 6.  It's called "Changes on Tap" where we'll discuss the seismic economic challenges happening right now in the St. Louis region.

Get your questions answered... and share you opinions.  Post a question or comment below and we'll share some of them during the town hall meeting on Thursday night.

AB should survive this bullying going on by InBev. They (shareholders) all need to remain strong and weather the storm. As for my true "Change on Tap" - I've switched from Bud Light to Bud Select!

Chrysler has been playing 'catch up' for so long they are really behind the times. Being reactive is quite expensive versus being proactive. The HEMI was just for bragging rights but now a reality - it's not worth owning!

Take a look at all those GM models getting over 30 mpg - I believe the 2008 report showed 10 vehicles while Chrysler only had 2.

An interesting find.......

IF this "hostile takeover" is being fought off so hard by AB.......why does InBevs US contact information data all lead here?:

Labatt USA - Canadian Brands
InBev International Inc. - European Brands

Could this all be a ruse to make it appear AB is fighting a takeover when in fact it's already a done deal?

This information is NEW. This address and telephone information was NOT listed on InBev's site last week when I last checked it.......

Something's going on here and someone should do a bit more investigating don't ya think?

I knew it was the beginning of the end a while back when Walmart started carrying A B products.......

What will become of the distributors when InBev has their way.......

Might we say " Brewed In China "

IMHO, Adolphus IV is to the Busches what Fredo was to the Corleones. As Fredo's brother Michael told him, "Don't ever take sides against the family, again. Ever."
