We kicked off Celebrity Deal or Dud back in February--they were some of my favorite Deal or Dud segments and we're doing them again this month!

First out of the gate, the King of Custard: Ted Drewes!  But we're not making Ted's famous frozen custard, instead we're making homemade ice cream using this weird looking ball that you shake!

Tune in to FOX 2 News at 9 on Wednesday night to see if it's a Deal or a Dud.

In the mean time, share some of your Ted Drewes memories, your favorite flavors or homemade ice cream recipes.

I used to make butter by shaking it in a gallon jug...... Will be interested to how the Ice Cream works.... Have hand churned many a gallon of Ice Cream when I was younger......

Only been to Ted Drews once .... Not a big Custard Fan so it was no beg deal.....

I so love Black Walnut Ice Cream though...... Velvet Freeze was my childhood favorite.....

It does look like a Hampter Ball. I have never had Ted Drews. Isn't that a south side thing?

My first trip to Ted Drewes (I did not grow up here) was one day when I worked in Clayton. One of the other secretaries decided it was a beautiful day and we should get out for lunch.

Word spread of her plan, and the next thing we knew, we had the heads of the HR department and three secretaries piled in one minivan and we were headed to South City!

We had Ted Drewes for lunch!

That's it, that's all we had. We stood around in suits and ate frozen custard at lunchtime! It was so fun!

... oh and I can't wait to see if the ice cream makers work, because I got one for my parents from REI (along with a marshmallow gun! LOL! ... it was a food Christmas last year!).
