Jonas Brothers

I'm ashamed to admit it - but here goes: I knew who the Jonas Brothers were when I went to the press conference on Tuesday - but I couldn't have told you which one was Nick - which one was Kevin - and which one was Joe.
But, after a quick study - I spent part of the day with them - and, I have to tell you - I'm now a fan. These guys are the real deal. They could not have been nicer.
After a press conference at their hotel, they signed autographs with girls who had gathered outside - from there, we went to Busch Stadium - where they played on the field - then they probably took 200 pictures with fans.
After that - they went to Ted Drewes, surprising even more fans.
I have to say I was exhausted just watching them - and they *still* had a show to put on that night and from what I hear - the show was great - even Tim Ezell (who has to be at work before the sun comes up) stayed until the very end! The Post's headline read "The Jonas Brothers hold up their end of the bargain.." and that they did.. on stage and off stage.. whether the camera was rolling or not..
After months of watching the Lindsay Lohan & Britney Spears shenanigans.. it's nice to see three brothers who genuinely care about one another.. and their fans..
These guys have been to the White House.. they've been on American Idol.. Dancing with the Stars.. they've sold tons of albums.. they're starring in their own Disney movies..
and it's just nice to see.. it hasn't gone to their heads. I saw it first hand.. these guys really do appreciate each and every one of their fans..
Amy Winehouse - A Winner?

Doesn't matter how many Grammys she won - Natalie Cole doesn't think Amy Winehouse is a winner.
Some entertainment reporters are calling Winehouse "Britain's Britney" ,, In fact, Natalie Cole didn't mince words about the British star - Natalie says Amy shouldn't be 'rewarded' with a Grammy after the way she's acted. Natalie Cole isn't the only one who felt that way - some audience members booed when Winehouse won... Ouch!
On a side note - I hear Vince Gill dissed Kanye West - while Kanye dissed well.. everyone.
Apparently, you don't have to be a rock star to behave badly anymore.
With all that drama going on - this was a surprise - Sunday night's Grammy show was one of the **least** watched Grammys ever.

Two former American Idol winners have been dropped from their record labels?
What went wrong?
Here's the story:
NEW YORK - Taylor Hicks might have won "American Idol," but he doesn't have his record deal anymore.
The
soul singer, who claimed the "Idol" title in 2006, has apparently been
dropped by J Records, a label within Sony-BMG, which signs the show's
singers. "Taylor is going to record on his own for the next album,"
said J Records publicist Liz Morentin.
Another "Idol" winner - Ruben Studdard of season
two - left his contract with J Records late last year, but continues
his contract with 19 Entertainment, the company managed by "Idol"
creator Simon Fuller.
Studdard is now at work on an upcoming
album, but it will not be distributed by J Records, Morentin said.
Studdard's previous album, 2006's "The Return," has sold only 236,000
copies.
Hicks' self-titled, post-"Idol" album, released in
December 2006, debuted at No. 2 on the charts. In the weeks after it
was issued, however, the disc slid down the charts. While it sold a
respectable 699,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data, it did
not reach the one million mark, unlike all the other debuts from
previous "Idol" champs. It also did not register a hit song, unlike
other "Idol" winners.
