No more "road trips" just to get out and about. More mindful of all of my purchases for food, household items, and clothing. Watch or wait for sales and not afraid to counter-offer a price on large purchases. No more eating out unless there is no time to fix dinner or forgot to pull something out of freezer for dinner. Bought a freezer to utilize sales.

Basically have been doing the things I should have been doing a long time ago.

Make them trip's to town count. Make my list and check it twice.Don't forget anything. So we don't have to go back again. Carpooling which hubby has never done unless it was an emergency. But paying 2 out of 4 day's helps.Use to cost him $4.00 a day to drive to work and back 9 year's ago when he started working there. Now it is $20.00 a day.
We don't eat out like we use too. and don't go as much as we use to. Yard saling will even cost to much to do anymore.

The only thing I can afford to do is go grocery shopping anything else is costing to much to do. I am on a fixed income so driving is not a neccesity except to eat.

I try to get my groceries on the way home from work, and limit my driving to and from work or to the laundromat.

I read about a company in St Louis today that is going to give gas vouchers to their employees for a third of the price they are paying each month. LUCKY EMPLOYEES!!! Why can't more companies do this!!!!

I haven't really changed the amount I drive but feel the pinch. I work less than 10 miles from home. Used to fill up and go for a couple of weeks.....haven't filled up in sooooo long. Can't afford to. Just put what I can in when I can and hope it lasts till next payday.

I recently experienced the "running out of gas" which has NEVER NEVER happened to me, I could see the station, just didn't quite make it. Serves me right!

Well I am disabled and lived on a fixed income and working as a work study student. Gas is affecting me greatly. I was already before the gas prices struggling to make ends meet and now the gas prices is taking me over the top. The grocery prices are horrible and it's becoming a crisis for me almost. If I had someone to move in with in order to share expenses I would because just a single's person income just isn't making it anymore.

It sucks! If metro would run to out to where my second job is I would gladly ride it and let someone doing the driving. But until that happens I have no choice. Like someone stated it cuts into the groceries - I have one question when will the greed be too much? I wonder if all those involved with these prices sleep well nothing how much grief this is causing people.

It has gotten bad. I used to put $30 in it and that would fill it. Now it takes close to $65 to fill it. We are traveling less. It is almsot cheaper to fly now adays.

My brother and I were talking tonight and he said he heard gas could be $5.00 a gallon before it's over with. Is this right? Did anyone else hear that or is it just a rumor? I also heard there is a rice shortage. Good grief when are the consumers going to quit being robbed and that is how it feels.

Coming to you from Edmonton, Alberta:
I am so thankful that I have a job that requires me to travel. They pay for it...he he
I am only home about 2 weeks a month, I haven't really changed anything about my driving habits when I am home.
