Well yet another cold front passes the bi-state region and drops little to no rain on Salem. And the 7-day outlook contiunes to state the same thing over and over again no rain!  Question to everyone, when were in a drought does that mean an early fall or trees dropping their leaves faster than normal?

One awesome  side to this cold front that passed is the noticeable temperature change. Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid 80's through the weekend. We will start to warm slowly next week back in to the 90's.

Awsome weather conditions this weekend so get out and enjoy it!!

my lawn is so dry that I fill in the bare spots with rice crispies. The color matches the lawn and it makes the same sound as the grass when I walk on it. truth713

We need rain!! I live in Salem also and I can't remember the last real rain we got. My lawn is like a box of crispys and my trees and plants are brown. It's going to be an ugly fall.

Oh, seeing this headline just made me see red!

I just went out biking yesterday (Sept 5) on the KATY trail near Rocheport, MO, and it rained on half our trip! Poured! We got soaked! You can have some of that rain if you want!

Of course, you know why we don't get rain here when these fronts pass? The Monsanto chemical cloud and all the bioengineered crop seeds and animal hormones and Boeing's secret infra-red spy rays keep the normal weather away! Just watch the doughnot hole over St. Louis and surrounding areas on radar every time rain passes through!

Am I on to something here?

My name is Reath and I'm 18 years old and I've been interested in the weather since I was hit by a EF2 Tornado in 1996. I attend Salem Community High School as a senior; everyone there calls me doppler. So I created a blog with that name. On the side I love takeing photos of clouds and lighting. I also enjoy writting reports on the weather and handing them out to my teachers and fellow classmates. And now blogging. Enjoy!
