Good afternoon everyone! That last storm system actually brought some rain to parts of the region, with .30 of an inch reported here in salem. Little more to the north and west as severe storms developed and moved northeast across parts of Bond, Fayett, Clinton, and Northern parts of Marion. Still we need a lot more rain! Thoughts of the heat wave ending for good (hopefully) with this next storm system. Pretty nice cool shot coming from upper plains and Canada. Should drop our temperatures to the lower 80's by the end of the week and lows in the upper 50's and lower 60's (nice)! Still having problems determining if there will be any thunderstorms with this next cold front. NWS has put a slight chance for thunderstorms on Wednesday and Wednesday night but with this somewhat storng cold front I think we should have a severe weather outbreak. I wish.... So does anybody have any thoughts on this next cold front?

My name is Reath and I'm 18 years old and I've been interested in the weather since I was hit by a EF2 Tornado in 1996. I attend Salem Community High School as a senior; everyone there calls me doppler. So I created a blog with that name. On the side I love takeing photos of clouds and lighting. I also enjoy writting reports on the weather and handing them out to my teachers and fellow classmates. And now blogging. Enjoy!
