It is my very last day of High School.  I sit in a room wondering how those four years (that at times seemed to drag on FOREVER) are already over.  Don't get me wrong, I will be SO relieved to get the hell out of here, but if four years can go by this fast, I can only imagine how fast the rest of my life will race before me.  I am going to make the best of every moment I have, even the bad ones.  Because once you realize that it's not so bad, and you can bare through it, and you might actually LIKE this HORRIBLE place, you are gone!

So here is to the mornings I woke up at 4:00am to finish papers (which was not often due to the lack of laziness).  To the lies to my parents about the homework I didn't have because I would rather watch TV with them in the living room under the blankets.  To the days that I was still a kid.  And to the future... to the bright gold paved path of success that I know will come, probably all too soon.

I will miss the excuse of "my stomach hurts" in order to stay home and watch Jerry Springer and The Price Is Right instead of going to school and doing boring class work.  I will miss the lunatic in me, even though she will probably come to visit quite often.  I will miss the little girl.

Goodbye to that little girl, Hello to the young woman...

Well you have one more milestone to look forward to. When you turn 21! About a year after that its pretty routine. Enjoy it while you can!

I was at this same moment last time I blinked. Now both my girls are out of school and out on their own. Life is a wonderful journey, enjoy every moment for it goes by in a blink. Congrats on graduating and God bless the rest of your life and endeavors.

and most people would love to do it all over again... at graduation, make sure ya look around good, cause it will be the last time you, as a lil group of your high school, will all be together again, never will ya ever be together again..

i graduated in 1974 and it seems as though it was yesterday,i rememmber it so well, and we even had a tornato during the ceremoney... but in reality its been a lifetime, lol.... and i was so sad for my boys on graduation nite, it seemed as their child hood was gone

Yes.. graduation is called commencement. It sounds like an ending but by definition..to commence is : to have or make a beginning.

Congratulations on the new chapter you're about to start. Make a difference!
