So I'm seeing all this flap about requiring a picture ID to vote and I'm saying to myself "Self, are these friggin people serious?"  I'm talking about the folks who are objecting to this.  Since the time I was 16 years old, I have had to have a picture ID for almost everything, even at the bank.  When I was in the military, I renewed my Driver's License via mail.  This was back before they kept your picture in the computer.  They sent me a license with no picture on it, but guess what?!?  IT WASN'T VALID UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY ANOTHER PICTURE ID!!!!!  Which in this case was my military ID.

The people who are objecting to this need a swift smack in the back of the head.

Me next! Me next! Yeah, whats the big deal. You already have a DL or state ID. One less card to carry in the wallet. Although, knowing Missouri, they will still send out a voter card.

I wonder if the Dems are going to dig up the corpses in Calvary Cemetery in order to get them all drivers licenses prior to the November election?

To Chicken: Do you remember when they went around in the city of St. Louis and grabed the bums off the street and feed them and then took them to vote? It was organized by a group of campaign workers. What a riot.

bubba - yep, I remember that one. And then there's the judge who ordered all the polls in the city to be kept open until 9:00 p.m. which was a violation of election law.

The bums on the street have as much of a right to vote as any privileged pansy living on his/her inherited family estate.

I'm all for election laws that lead to unbiased fairness. Unfortunately, all the laws proposed by the Republicans of fading glory try to reduce the number of poor or middle-class voters. Poor folks and some middle-class (i.e. my Mom never had a pic ID till the day she died) are more likely to not have pic IDs, but heck we know EVERY insurance exec or oil tycoon has one!

So, I'd like to see laws preventing voting abuse BEHIND THE SCENES, where all the Republican mischief happens i.e. Florida 2000.

Remember, voter fraud has helped more Republicans than Democrats, overall. The 2000 election comes to mind - had we counted all those votes, had we no sleazy corruption behind the scenes in Republican-controlled Floriday, we have had a different president!

Instead of the nightmare that followed.

Ahh Legolas you stole my thunder. LOL Yep get out early and vote often.

BTW for the last several election I had to show either a picture ID or an unpaid utility bill. I see no reason why everyone shouldn't have a photo ID especially with all the identity theft.

Behind the scenes abuse? It was the Dem's that didn't want a recount of Dade county. By the way after the suprime court ruling Fla did finish there count even though it didn't mean anything and guess who won? I know the Bush haters don't want to know. P.S it was Bush

Custody case is over. Let me self get screwed over by the lawyers so the kids have to stay with her for now. With any luck, I can get them before they start high school so I can get them back on track and not watch them become a statistic.
