STL to AK and Back Again

by AngelaHutti from St.Louis

Last Post 4 days, 3 hours Ago

Another hot day in St. Louis, but relief is in sight! Our high Monday was 98 but,  with the humidity, the Heat Index was above 110 is most spots. Clouds will keep our temps below 100 again today, but highs in the upper 90s are plenty warm enough.  Heat Index reading again about 105.

Our Song of the Day is "110 In The Shade" by John Fogerty.

Stay cool all!  Rain moves in tonight and will break the heat!

Hey Asmerelda! Yeah me too. I'm trying to find new recipes for okra. I'm getting quite a bit of it out of my garden.

I make pickled okra too, but am wanting to try some other things. Found one that it is cooked with tomatoes, onion, and green peppers along with other spices. Sounds yummy.

I have only had okra fried.

My mom was from Tennessee so she did southern cooking and that is how I learned how to cook.

Very pretty piano. I have a spinet that I bought for my daughter to take lessons when she was a little girl. It just sits here taking up space now. I don't play (wish I did) so I gave it to my son and his wife as a wedding present. It's till here tho cause they need a bigger place before they can take it.

Born and raised in St. Louis, I'm living my dream of being a meteorologist. I came to Fox 2 in October 2006 after a few wonderful years doing weekend weather for a TV station in Anchorage, AK. Look for me weekend mornings on Fox 2 and at every Cardinals game I can possibly get to!
