A canvas stood quiet and still
Awaiting the artist from beyond the sea
Ideas, plans, energy, and determination
Arrived with vigor and vim

Created a nation of workers,
with ideas, plans and futures
each generation building on
the strengths of the one before

Then along came the smudges with their
slanted, blurred ideas
smudges can run this land

Smudges tried oh so hard,
but were not chosen for
the job. They fought to rule
and cast a downward trend

Ideas, plans, futures were
sent to rest, while smudges
started the downward trend YOU ADD TO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
